History

Samsung Electronics is a South Korean multinational electronics company known for manufacturing consumer electronics such as smartphones and computers, and electronic components such as lithium-ion batteries, semiconductors,image sensors, and flash memory.
With assembly plants and sales networks in over 70 countries, Samsung Electronics is the world's largest manufacturer of consumer electronics by revenue as well as the world's second largest technology company by revenue (after Apple).

Product Lineup

Samsung Electronics is a major supplier of OLED panels as well as LCD and LED panels.
Its Galaxy-series of smartphones boast premium features and solid built quality, making it the world's largest manufacturer of smartphones. The Galaxy S and Galaxy Note series are industry benchmarks for Android-powered smart devices.
Samsung Electronics is also the world's largest memory chip manufacturer since 1993 and the largest semiconductor company since 2017, surpassing Intel. It commercially introduced LPDDR 5 and GDDR6 in 2018. Leveraging the company's strength in flash storage, Samsung Electronics is a leader in solid-state drive (SSDs).
Samsung is also a major player in home entertainment, including both smart televisions and speakers. From its ownership of Harman International, Samsung owns major brands in HiFi / audio such as AKG, Bang & Olufsen, Harman Kardon, JBL, and Mark Levinson, etc.
