EOS Webcam Utility Expands Camera Support and Software Compatibility with the Launch of the Production Version
Since Canon introduced the EOS Webcam Utility software earlier this year, other camera manufacturers have followed suit. Canon has recorded over 700,000 downloads since April. They have acted on customer feedback and extended the support of camera models and tested compatibility with more video conferencing and streaming applications.
New Models Supported
The new models added to the list of supported cameras include those released a few years back but are still loved by consumers as well as new releases. They include:

- EOS-1D X, EOS-1D C
- EOS 5D Mark III, EOS 6D, EOS 7D
- EOS 70D, EOS 60D
- EOS Rebel T8i, EOS Rebel T6s, EOS Rebel T5i, EOS Rebel T3i
- EOS Rebel T5, EOS Rebel T3, EOS Rebel T100
- EOS Rebel SL3, EOS Rebel SL2, EOS Rebel SL1
Mirrorless
- EOS R5
- EOS R6

Software Compatibility
Canon has tested a large list of video conferencing and streaming applications since the initial release of the beta version. The new production version has been tested with the following applications:
Video Conferencing: Cisco Webex, Microsoft Teams, Zoom, Discord, Hangouts, Skype, Hangouts Meet, Slack.
Video Streaming: Streamlabs, YouTube Live, Facebook Live, Open Broadcaster Software.
Canon advised that the users should uninstall the beta version, if applicable, before installing the production version, which can be found here.
