Reviewer score 90% (normalized by Neofiliac)The 1D X Mark III is the most capable SLR we've seen in terms of video features. It can record Raw footage at 5.5K (4K-D in menus), and offers a number of compressed 4K and 1080p options if you prefer. Slow-motion is an option too, but is limited to 120fps capture at 1080p resolution.
Pros
- Fantastic image sensor
- Fast autofocus
- Excellent video toolkit
Cons
- No in-camera noise reduction
techradar[3]
Reviewer score 93% (normalized by Neofiliac)The EOS 1D X Mark III is just as impressive as a video camera as it is as a stills camera. Video recording capabilities and suite of functions have been very carefully considered to come up with a hybrid camera that's on a par with anything in the mirrorless world. The 20MP sensor can hold its own against the Sony A9 II's 24MP flavor.
Pros
- Excellent image quality
- Excellent optical viewfinder
- Excellent battery life
Cons
- No EVF
- No electronic image stabilization
