Description
Miele is a German manufacturer of high-end domestic appliances, including cooking, baking, and steam-cooking appliances, refrigeration products, coffee makers, dishwashers, washing machines, and vacuum cleaners. It is a favorite among housewives and househusbands as well as amateur and professional cooks.
History
Miele was founded in 1899. Its first products were home appliances, including a tub washing machine, under the Meteor brand. In 1927, Miele started the production of vacuum cleaners. Two years later, it introduced the first electric dishwasher in Europe.
In the 1950s, Miele produced the first automatic washing machine and the first domestic tumble dryer. Towards the end of the 1970s, it introduced the first microprocessor-controlled home appliances.
In recent decades, Miele continued to lead in technological innovation in home appliances and expanded its product ranges to cover almost every aspect of domestic appliances.
