History

Bentley Motors Limited is a British manufacturer of luxury vehicles. It is a subsidiary of the Volkswagen Group since 1998. Founded in 1919, it had been under the ownership of Rolls-Royce between 1931 and 1970 and that of Vickers between 1970 and 1998.
One of the most storied marques in automotive history, Bentley enjoyed enormous success in racing prior to the Great Depression, winning consecutive 24 Hours of Le Mans in the 1920s. Though it existed as a rebadged Rolls-Royce for decades after the company's acquisition by Rolls Royce, Bentley currently enjoys a revival under the ownership of Volkswagen.
Its current lineup comprises of a full-size crossover SUV (Bentayga), a grand tourer (Continental GT), and a full-size sedan (Flying Spur). These vehicles are powered by either V8 (4.0 TFSI, EA825) shared with Audi, Lamborghini, and Porsche or a W12 currently exclusive to Bentley.
