Xiaomi Corporation is a Chinese electronics manufacturer. It is known for quality smartphones, laptops, headphones, and other electronics products that are competitively-priced. It is the fourth company after Apple, Samsung, and Huawei to have self-developed mobile phone chip capabilities.

Founded in 2010, Xiaomi launched its Android-based firmware MIUI the same year. In 2011, the company's first smartphone the Mi 1 was introduced. By the end of 2013, Xiaomi became the 5th most popular smartphone brand in China. It also introduced a smart TV the same year.

In 2014, Xiaomi started its expansion outside China, focusing on Asia and Latin America. Xiaomi also introduced the Redmi brand of smartphones. Two years later, Xiaomi became officially available in the European Union.

In 2018, Xiaomi went public in Hong Kong.

Over its short history, Xiaomi has continually expanded its product lineup. Besides smartphones, it also markets a wide range of MIUI-powered smart devices, laptops, electric scooters, smartwatches, smart home products, and drones.
