Product Overview

BMW 3 Series G20 is a compact executive sedan in production from 2018. It is available with a range of inline-4 and inline-6 engines that displaced 2.0 to 3.0 liters.
Compared to the F30 3 Series, the G20 has engines carried over and exterior styling that is rather similar. Nevertheless, the B-series engines have fully taken over, and their closed-deck design leads many to think that these drivetrains may be more reliable.
Engineers at BMW clearly made a great effort in aerodynamics, with a class-leading 0.23 coefficient of drag to show for it. The official fuel economy rating is exceptionally rosy, though it may cast more doubts on the trustworthiness of the regulators and perhaps the owner's own sanity than it relates to reality.

Reviewers from autoexpress have found the following***:
The 3 Series' agility is great. Just as the suspension controls the car's masses to deliver comfort, it does so equally well to provide sweet, swift changes of direction. There's plenty of grip, helped by a wider track front and rear, and not too much roll. The steering is possibly a little too light in the Comfort driving mode, and feels artificially weighted if you step it up to Sport. Up front the latest model feels just as accommodating, with a noticeable step up in quality.

Pros
  • Fantastic agility
  • Comfortable to drive
  • Excellent infotainment system
Cons
  • A little too light in Comfort driving mode

The latest BMW 3 Series took class honours at the 2019 Auto Express New Car Awards. Our top compact executive car is not only comfortable, refined and cheap to run, it's also filled with segment-leading in-car tech. The new Touring model is no longer than the saloon overall, but the sloping roofline has been switched out to reveal a much bigger and more practical load bay.

Pros
  • Cheap to run
  • Comfortable to drive
  • Excellent infotainment system
Cons
  • Lack of Android Auto
  • No Android Auto

The 2019 BMW 3 Series is once again a thrill to drive. The rear-drive 330i scores 26 miles per gallon city and 36 mpg highway in EPA testing. Connectivity includes USB ports, optional wireless phone charging, a Wi-Fi hotspot and wireless Apple CarPlay support.
Find the original article here.
Pros
  • Lots of fun to drive
  • Excellent infotainment system
  • Lots of standard features
Cons
  • Not as attractive as prior models
  • No volume knob

Reviewers from cnet have found the following***:
The BMW 330e is a well-executed plug-in hybrid version of an already excellent car. It handles as well as we've come to expect from a 3 Series, though the additional weight of the batteries and electric motor can be felt. The battery pack, mounted in the rear, impinges on the trunk space slightly, dropping storage by a few cubic feet.
Find the original article here.
Pros
  • Powerful electric motor
  • Comfortable to drive
  • Excellent fuel economy
Cons
  • Not as practical as its gasoline-powered siblings
  • Battery pack is too big for some

cnet[5]

Reviewers from cnet have found the following***:
The M340i's optional Adaptive M Suspension turns the worst parts of driving into a tolerable experience. The standard M Sport brakes are a little touchy and can be challenging to get used to, but they're a vast improvement over the 330i's standard brakes. The interior looks premium, but some of the materials are just meh. The 3 Series' cockpit in general presents itself as acceptable for the price, but not above and beyond.
Find the original article here.
Pros
  • Gorgeous interior
  • Comfortable to drive
  • Powerful infotainment system
Cons
  • Variable sport steering
  • Lack of driver-assistance features

Reviewers from digitaltrends have found the following***:
The BMW 330e is a great transition vehicle for those looking for an electrified BMW experience. The comfortable interior includes all the luxury touches you’d expect from a German automaker. For fans of tangible buttons, climate controls are still actual physical buttons. The 2021 BMW 3 Series is an Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) Top Safety Pick.

Pros
  • Comfortable to drive
  • Powerful electric motor
  • Comfortable interior
Cons
  • No Android Auto support
  • Limited range

I test drove one with the diesel engine late last year. The babe pulled! IMHO still the best in the segment, although the grills are getting ridiculous
