Product Overview

Lenovo ThinkBook 13x is an all-new, ultra-slim 13.3-inch laptop designed for business users. Powered by up to 11th-gen Intel Core i7 processor, the ThinkBook 13x measures a mere 0.5-inch thin and weighs just over 1kg.
Echoing Lenovo's choice to move to the 16:10 aspect ratio, the ThinkBook 13x features a 13.3-inch WQXGA IPS touch screen. Thanks to the 11th-gen Intel CPU, it also comes with two Thunderbolt 4 ports. Lenovo has also endowed the ThinkBook 13x with PCIe Gen4 SSD.
The ThinkBook 13x is compatible with the new ThinkPad USB-C and Thunderbolt 4 docks.
Alongside the ThinkBook 13x, Lenovo also introduced ThinkBook 14p Gen 2, ThinkBook 16p Gen 2, and ThinkBook Plus Gen 2 at CES 2021.

digitaltrends[1]

Reviewer score 70% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from digitaltrends have found:
The ThinkBook 13x is a nice little machine, being thin and light enough to toss into a backpack. It’s only 0.07 inches thinner and just 0.29 pounds lighter than the ThinkPad 13s. It offers far better value to small business users with greater expandability and faster performance.
Pros
  • Slim and light
  • Excellent build quality
  • Sleek design
  • Good battery life
Cons
  • Lackluster performance
  • No Thunderbolt 3 port

laptopmag[2]

Reviewer score 72% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from laptopmag have found:
The ThinkBook 13x is a young whippersnapper that thought it could steal its predecessor’s shine. It has a better variety of ports, zippier performance and quicker video transcoding. Lenovo offers four payment tiers: $2.99 for one hour of speech translation, $14.99 and $28.49 for 10 hours.
Pros
  • Sleek design
  • Comfortable keyboard
  • Good battery life
Cons
  • Lackluster performance
  • Poor webcam

notebookcheck[3]

Reviewer score 69% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from notebookcheck have found:
Lenovo installs a 512 GB SSD from Samsung, which already supports the fast PCIe 4.0 standard. It achieves good read and write rates that are a bit slower than in other notebooks with this mass storage. In the 3DMark tests, the ThinkBook 13x achieves an average result and can place itself in the middle of our test field.
Pros
  • High-quality aluminum case
  • Good color reproduction
  • Good battery life
  • Fast WLAN
Cons
  • No USB Type-C ports
  • No Thunderbolt 3

pcmag[4]

Reviewer score 75% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from pcmag have found:
The Lenovo ThinkBook 13x is a capable ultraportable thanks to its lightweight design, productive 16:10 screen, and quality keyboard, touchpad, and speakers. It's reasonably priced and even comes with a Bluetooth mouse. But Lenovo has shaved off a tenth of an inch from the ThinkPad X13 Gen 2, which might be a better choice.
Pros
  • Compact 16:10 display
  • Good keyboard and touchpad
  • Good battery life
Cons
  • Dim screen
  • Dim display
