Product Overview

autocar[1]

Sentiment Score 39%
Reviewers from autocar have found the following***:
The 1.5-litre 35 TFSI engine is smooth and civilised at cruising revs. The torque provided by the turbocharger means you only need to go there when occasion calls to accelerate hard. Just as it did abroad, the Q3’s twin-clutch automatic gearbox seems reluctant to kick down as you probe into the accelerator travel.

Pros
  • Comfortable to drive
  • Comfortable ride and handling
Cons
  • Lack of refinement
  • Unrefined engine

autocar[2]

Sentiment Score 69%
Reviewers from autocar have found the following***:
The new 45 TFSI is available in range-topping Vorsprung edition or the S line trim tested here, which gets you 19in alloy wheels, a sportier bodykit and lowered suspension. It retains the expansive and well-appointed interior of the base Q3, complete with digital instrument display and sizeable central infotainment screen. Dynamic driving mode can’t completely eliminate that familiar SUV body roll, but it does help the car hunker down and deliver a consistent, if not quite engaging, ride.

Pros
  • Comfortable to drive
  • Impressive fuel economy
  • Comfortable ride
Cons
  • Dated infotainment

autoexpress[3]

Sentiment Score 75%
Reviewers from autoexpress have found the following***:
The latest version of the Audi Q3 is built on the VW Group's MOB platform. There's only a single five-door bodystyle and five-seat cabin arrangement. There is a range of petrol and diesel engines, offering power outputs of 148bhp to 227bhp. All models come with Audi's hugely impressive Virtual Cockpit digital dash, alloy wheels and LED headlamps.

Pros
  • Cheap to run
  • Comfortable to drive
Cons
  • Lack of off-road capability
  • No manual gearchange

autoexpress[4]

Sentiment Score 81%
Reviewers from autoexpress have found the following***:
From behind the wheel, the Q3 is above average for the class in almost every area. It's not quite as fun to drive as a BMW X1 – the steering feels too numb for that – but keen turn-in, strong grip and decent adjustability means that it's not bad at all. Ride comfort was a concern on the previous Q3, but here the second-generation model takes a leap forward.

Pros
  • Comfortable to drive
  • Decent infotainment tech
Cons
  • Lack of manual gearbox
  • Alternatives are more fun to drive

autoexpress[5]

Sentiment Score 59%
Reviewers from autoexpress have found the following***:
The Audi Q3 is a practical, well-built and desirable crossover. Its premium feel runs more than skin deep, as the compact Audi 4x4 offers an engaging, fun driving experience. The downsides? This quality doesn't come cheap – especially if you go to town on the options. Despite its looks, the Q3 isn't all that capable off-road.

Pros
  • Comfortable to drive
  • Excellent fuel economy
Cons
  • Cheap to run
  • No Q3 e-tron

carmagazine[6]

Sentiment Score 69%
Reviewers from carmagazine have found the following***:
The cabin in general is really airy, and the rear space has big windows, decent headroom and a slideable rear bench. With the seats slid all the way back, there's 530 litres of boot volume (110 litres larger than the first Q3) and with the rear bench slid forward there's up to 675 litres on offer – even more than the standard load bay of an A6 Avant. There are five engine choices spanning the three trim levels, with either a six-speed manual or seven-speed S tronic gearbox and either front- or quattro all-wheel drive.
Find the original article here.
Pros
  • Sleek, modern looks
  • Comfortable to drive
  • Lots of standard equipment
Cons
  • Dated gearbox and drive options
  • Lack of infotainment tech

cnet[7]

Sentiment Score 79%
Reviewers from cnet have found the following***:
Merican handling feels a bit different than its European twin. There's loads of standard tech in the Q3, including automatic windshield wipers, LED headlights, keyless start. The Q3 also packs a number of safety systems, most of which are optional. The compact SUV space is rife with strong competitors like the BMW X1 and Rover Evoque.

Pros
  • Comfortable to drive
  • Lots of standard tech
  • Excellent infotainment system
Cons
  • Lack of grip in Comfort mode

cnet[8]

Sentiment Score 85%
Reviewers from cnet have found the following***:
For shopping trips, cargo space behind the rear seats grows from 16.7 cubic feet in the old Q3 to a more usable 23.7. A familiar 2.0-liter, turbocharged I4 engine and an eight-speed automatic gearbox send power to all four wheels. The safety tech menu has forward collision warning with automatic emergency braking coming on all 2019 Q3s.

Pros
  • Powerful engine
  • Impressive safety tech
  • Comfortable ride
Cons
  • Expensive for what you get

digitaltrends[9]

Sentiment Score 87%
Reviewers from digitaltrends have found the following***:
's a 20 horsepower boost from the outgoing model, and a whopping 51 pound-feet more. The engine is mated to an 8-speed Tiptronic automatic transmission with full-time quattro all-wheel-drive. For the base price of $35,695, you get everything that's important about the vehicle.

Pros
  • Quattro all-wheel-drive
  • Comfortable to drive
  • Excellent infotainment system
Cons
  • Awkward to drive
