At $1,700, the Fujifilm X-T4 forces a comparison to full-frame cameras. The Nikon Z 6 will offer better low-light image quality and comparable 5-axis stabilization. The Sony A6600 is another great APS-C camera, one that happens to be cheaper.

With the X-T4, Fujifilm has put all of the puzzle pieces together. The IBIS system works very well, but there are some issues that simply happen with sensor-based stabilization. Image quality is as good as you'll get without moving up to a full-frame model.

The X-T4 offers a new option to output 8- or 16-bit TIFF files using the in-camera RAW conversion software. It's slightly bigger than its predecessor, but it's woefully undersized for a body of this size. Most of the improvements are aimed at the hybrid still and video shooter.

  • Excellent still and video performance
  • Improved autofocus
  • Great battery life
Cons
  • Gripping grip is too small
