techradar[1]

Reviewer score 75%
Reviewers from techradar have found the following***:
The Nikon Z50 is a fantastic first foray into the APS-C mirrorless market for Nikon. It's not a perfect camera by any means, but it's a welcome addition to what is an admittedly crowded market. The build and handling are particularly appealing, with the Z50 being essentially a miniaturized version of those superb full-frame models. In terms of the lens range the Fujifilm X-T30 is the clear winner, but Nikon is hot on its heels with plenty of upcoming lens launches.

Pros
  • Fantastic build quality

Cons

trustedreviews[2]

Reviewer score 77%
Reviewers from trustedreviews have found the following***:
The Nikon Z50 has a 20.9-megapixel APS-C sensor and 11fps continuous shooting with autofocus and auto exposure. It has fewer phase-detection AF points (209, compared to the A6400’s 425 AF points) and Sony has a considerable headstart with its Real-time AF tracking. Rather than the pricier XQD cards, the Z50 takes standard SD cards in its single slot. The Z50 is compatible with all Z Mount lenses without an adaptor, but you’ll need to factor in the 1.5x crop factor and price tags.

Pros
  • Excellent autofocus
  • Compact design
  • Good battery life
Cons
  • No built-in adaptor
