Reviewer score 79%
Reviewers from cnet have found the following***:
The EPA says a rear-wheel-drive Escalade with the 3.0-liter diesel engine should return 21 miles per gallon in the city. A 10-speed automatic transmission handles shifting duties and it's mostly fine. Diesel Escalades can tow 300 pounds more than their gas equivalents, too, for a max rating of 8,000 pounds.

Pros
  • Seamless, effortless power
  • Excellent cabin tech
  • Comfortable to drive
Cons
  • Diesel engine is still prone to downshifting
  • No Android Auto or Apple CarPlay

Reviewers from cnet have found the following***:
The Cadillac Escalade ESV Luxury starts at $80,490 including destination. The Platinum trim includes just about everything you could want. It has a panoramic glass roof the size of a small pool that makes even the way back feel less claustrophobic. The ESV is not as posh as a Mercedes GLS nor energetic as a BMW X7.

Pros
  • Gorgeous interior
  • Powerful infotainment system
  • Comfortable ride
Cons
  • Expensive for what you get
