Product Overview

Cadillac CT5 is an executive sedan in production from 2019. It is available with a range of inline-4, V6, and V8 engines that displaced 3.0 to 6.2 liters.
Owners will probably enjoy the powerful small block V8 the most, though the smaller engines have proven to be reasonably reliable for daily commutes.
Drivers who appreciate handling should keep in mind that the Cadillac CT5 uses MacPherson front suspension, which doesn't provide the best cornering performance.

Reviewers from cnet have found the following***:
A twin-turbo V6 provides a punchy 360 horsepower and 405 pound-feet of torque. The steering is heavily weighted and communicative, letting you know when the front tires are nearing their limits. Magnetic Ride Control, an electronic limited-slip differential and Brembo brakes improve the V's handling chops.

Pros
  • Powerful V6
  • Comfortable ride
  • Impressive infotainment
Cons
  • Lack of driver-assistance tech

Reviewers from cnet have found the following***:
The CT5's twin-turbo V6 might not make as much power as the CT5-V's engine, but it's still tons of fun. Cadillac's infotainment system shows the automaker at the top of its game. The interior is fine -- above fine when compared with Cadillacs of yore -- but it still lags behind its German competition.

Pros
  • Gorgeous V6
  • Comfortable ride
  • Excellent infotainment system
Cons
  • No adaptive cruise control
  • Lackluster interior tech

Reviewers from cnet have found the following***:
The Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing is a monster, but it's one with enough smarts and features to be manageable -- even calm and composed. Cadillac's most advanced magnetorheological suspension is here, working its magic to make the Blackwing as poised over Virginia International Raceway's many bumps and curbs as it is when cruising over more casual streets. A 10-speed automatic transmission offers brutally quick shifts, but smooth and calm ones, too.

Pros
  • Gorgeous interior
  • Powerful engine
  • Comfortable to drive
Cons
  • No automatic transmission
  • No adaptive cruise control
