MSI GS66 Stealth is one of the first gaming laptops to support not only new RTX30 graphics, but also a 1440p 240Hz screen. Like the 2020 GS66, the new 10UX can be configured with either FHD or 4K UHD display, the latter of which delivers 100% coverage of the Adobe RGB color space. Another important feature that is carried over is the large 99.9Wh battery.
This rundown provides our analysis on 8 third-party reviews. The sentiment scores, summaries, and key takeaways that we select are based on these reviews and may differ from the original publication.

Reviewers from digitaltrends have found the following[***]:
The MSI GS66 Stealth is finally a gaming laptop that can run at 1440p at decent frame rates. The touchpad and keyboard are some of my least favorite aspects of the laptop. It might not be my favorite design, but the combination of a superfast, high-resolution screen and excellent gaming performance make it one of the best gaming laptops you can buy.

Reviewers from laptopmag have found the following[***]:
MSI's CoolerBoost technology has seven heat pipes and three fans with 0.004-inch thin fan blades. The touchpad, center and bottom of the Stealth measured 81, 108 and 111 degrees. The laptop has its fair share of bloatware, such as Hulu, Roblox and Hidden City: Hidden Object Adventure.

Reviewers from notebookcheck have found the following[***]:
MSI has made no major internal changes outside of the CPU and GPU swap. The cooling solution and components appear identical to what we observed on last year's Turing-powered GS66. 4K video playback at 60 FPS is smooth but not perfect with 8 dropped frames during our minute-long video test.

  • No 4K option

Sentiment Score[*] 71%
Reviewers from pcmag have found the following[***]:
The GS66 Stealth made an impressive 6,175-point showing in PCMark 10. Its large 99.9-watt-hour battery propelled it to near the front of this pack. It's a good showing for a high-end gaming notebook even if the time is unremarkable.

  • Fantastic QHD display
  • Good battery life
  • Comfortable keyboard backlighting
  • Lackluster performance

Sentiment Score[*] 69%
Reviewers from trustedreviews have found the following[***]:
The MSI GS66 Stealth is equipped with the new Intel 10th Gen H-Series processors and Nvidia’s latest RTX graphics cards. It hits a size sweet spot for gamers who might find smaller displays far from ideal and bigger displays just impractical. Some gamers will be disappointed at the lack of G-Sync and FreeSync, which prevent screen tearing from ruining the visuals.

  • Excellent trackpad
  • No G-Sync or FreeSync
  • Short battery life
