Product Overview
The 2021 MSI GP66 Leopard is a 15.6-inch gaming laptop powered by up to 10th-gen Intel Core i7 CPU and NVIDIA RTX 3080 GPU. It improves upon the 2020 GP65 by adding the latest RTX 30-series graphics.
Apart from the GPU update, the GP66 takes on a different physical design than the 2020 model, dropping the number pad and decreasing the thickness.
Alongside the GP66 Leopard, MSI also refreshed at CES 2021 the 15-inch Stealth 15M, 15-inch GS66 Stealth, 17-inch GE76 Raider and 15-inch GE66 Raider, 17-inch GP76 Leopard, and 17-inch GF75 Thin and 15-inch GF65 Thin.

Reviewer score 86% (normalized by Neofiliac) MSI's GP66 Leopard can easily handle graphically intensive games. The dual fans can get a little loud at times, but that's par for the course with gaming laptops. The $1,899 price tag on this model is in line with what you'd normally spend building your own desktop.
Pros
- Great gaming performance
- Great keyboard and touchpad
- Good battery life
Cons
- No Thunderbolt 3 or Thunderbolt 3 ports
- Very expensive

Reviewer score 74% (normalized by Neofiliac)The GP66 Leopard uses an RTX 2070 Super Max-Q chip. It's a step up from MSI's high-end GS66 Stealth. The Leopard employs MSI's “Cooler Boost 5” system, which includes two fans and six heat pipes. Battery life is a major area where the GP66 isn't ahead of its competition.
Pros
- Excellent gaming performance
- Solid build quality
- Good battery life
Cons
- Dim screen
- Dim display
tomshardware[4]
Reviewer score 66% (normalized by Neofiliac)MSI's GP66 Leopard is a powerful gaming notebook that draws attention to games, not itself. There is quite a lot of software preinstalled on the GP66, which has been a trademark of MSI laptops. For $1,799, you can get the Leopard with a Core i7-10750H, 16GB of RAM, a 512GB SSD.
Pros
- Gorgeous 240 Hz display
- Powerful gaming performance
- Good keyboard
Cons
- Bloatware
- No webcam
