Product Overview

Samsung QN900A Neo QLED 8K TV is Samsung's 2021 flagship smart TV. Similarly-designed as the Q950TS from 2020, it adds Neo QLED technology with Quantum Mini LED backlight controlled by Quantum Matrix and Neo Quantum Processor to offer even higher dynamic range and richer color reproduction.
Samsung's Quantum Mini LED measures just 1/40th of the height of a conventional LED. Rather than using a lens to disperse light, it simply packs a large number of Mini LEDs in the backlight matrix. The result is dramatically finer control. Combined with 12-bit, 4096-step luminance control, Neo QLED elevates the HDR experience to a new level.
The QN900A further features Samsung's new Infinity One Design, with a virtually zero bezel display coupled to an attachable Slim One Connect box that holds all the connections.
Like flagship QLED TVs of the past, the QN900A enjoys 100% DCI-P3 coverage, anti-reflection coating, and ultra-wide viewing angle. It further adds 80W 6.2.2-channel audio system, reducing the need of a sound bar.
Alongside the QN900A, Samsung also introduced at CES 2021 the 8K QN800A as well as the 4K QN90A and QN85A in the 2021 Neo QLED lineup.

    Reviewers from rtings have found:
The Samsung QN900A is a great TV for mixed usage. It gets very bright, so it's well-suited for rooms with a lot of light. While it has a good contrast ratio, its native contrast is low for a VA panel. It can only deliver deep blacks thanks to local dimming, which creates blooming. However, it upscales lower resolution content well and removes judder.
    Pros
    • Great response time
    • High peak brightness
    • Low input lag
    • Good gray uniformity
    Cons
    • Mediocre local dimming
    • Local dimming produces blooming

    Reviewers from t3 have found:
The 75QN900A looks every bit as cutting edge and premium as you'd hope a TV at this price would look. The star of the show is its bezel, or rather, its lack of bezel. Samsung's flagship 75-inch TV is fairly straightforward to both initially set up and use. It auto detects all sources you attach to it, automatically switches in and out of Game mode, and its Eden smart system is easy to use and find content on.
    Pros
    • Superb picture quality
    • Impressive pixel level lighting
    Cons
    • Lack of bezel
    • No HDMI 2.1

    Reviewers from techradar have found:
The new Samsung Neo QN900 QLED is going to be the first 8K TV for a lot of people. Samsung's first trick for 2021 involves shrinking its LEDs to 1/40th of their traditional size. This allows for more precision and less blooming, so you won't see bright areas of the screen unnaturally bleed over into darker spots. It's now available to pre-order, and will start shipping to US customers by March 13, though exact price and release info is yet to drop for other territories.
    Pros
    • Big, bright, beautiful OLED panel
    • Impressive HDR performance
    Cons
    • Price drop compared to last year’s model

The 75QN900A doesn’t just dazzle with movie and TV content. It’s also a formidable gaming display. Native 4K and 120Hz titles look pin-sharp and effortlessly smooth. The screen handles variable refresh rates immaculately across all the current VRR formats.
    Pros
    • Gorgeous 4K and 120Hz picture
    • Super-wide sound stage
    • Impressive dynamic tone mapping
    Cons
    • No Dolby Vision

    Reviewers from whathifi have found:
Samsung QE75QN900A gets its best audio offering, known as Object Tracking Sound (OTS) Pro. It consists of a row of four mid/bass drivers at the bottom of the rear and two tweeters. Then there are two height speakers on the top of the set and a pair of side-firers in what Samsung claims as a 6.2 channel arrangement with 80W of amplification.
    Pros
    • Fantastic picture quality
    • Excellent motion handling
    Cons
    • Bass isn’t the best
