Product Overview

Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Titanium Yoga Gen 1 is the thinnest laptop to wear the coveted ThinkPad marque. At just 11.5mm thin, it is also the lightest 2-in-1 convertible on the market today.
Unlike the refreshed X1 Carbon Gen 9 and X1 Yoga Gen 6, the new X1 Titanium Yoga adopts a 3:2 aspect ratio, providing even more vertical space while making the device even more compact. Like other 2021 ThinkPad X1 models, the Titanium Yoga is powered by 11th-gen Intel Core processors, which brings Thunderbolt 4 / USB 4.0 ports with even faster connectivity compared to Thunderbolt 3.
The aesthetics and titanium construction of the ThinkPad X1 Titanium Yoga make it a unique device, giving an ultimate high-end look and feel.
Alongside the new X1 Titanium Yoga, Lenovo also unveiled the X12 Detachable in the ThinkPad X1 lineup at CES 2021.

Reviewers from digitaltrends have found the following***:
The ThinkPad X1 Titanium Yoga is a superior convertible 2-in-1 that gives the best around, HP's Spectre x360 14, a run for its money. It's thin and light and so works well as a tablet, a rarity in this class of machines. It enjoys a great keyboard and pen, solid security options, and a chassis that feels very modern and robust.

Pros
  • Very thin and light
  • Excellent keyboard and pen
  • Solid security options
Cons
  • Battery life could be better

laptopmag[2]

Reviewer score 93%
Reviewers from laptopmag have found the following***:
The Lenovo ThinkPad P15 churned out 93 frames per second on Sid Meier's Civilization VI: Gathering Storm in 4K. It's not going to challenge the new reigning laptop webcam champ in the Dell Latitude 7320. The X1 Titanium should have no issues getting you through a day when you consider the 2K display.
Find the original article here.
Pros
  • Excellent build quality
  • Excellent battery life
  • Excellent keyboard and touchpad
Cons
  • No Thunderbolt 3

notebookcheck[3]

Reviewer score 77%
Reviewers from notebookcheck have found the following***:
The Xi Titanium Yoga is quieter than the X1 Nano and the sound is just not as rich and powerful. Lenovo can only fit a 44.5 Wh battery inside the thin chassis. At maximum load and the highest brightness, the battery will drain completely in under two hours. A full charge takes 161 minutes when the device is turned on.

Pros
  • Thin and light
  • High-quality case
  • Very good keyboard
  • Good battery life
Cons
  • Slow Wi-Fi
  • No Thunderbolt 3

pcmag[4]

Reviewer score 79%
Reviewers from pcmag have found the following***:
The ThinkPad X1 Titanium Yoga has a 13.5-inch touch-enabled display with a 3:2 aspect ratio. It ditches the traditional physical clicking switch, instead opting for haptic feedback that simulates physical clicks with tiny vibrations. Despite all the business-friendly features, there are still a few key ones missing.
Find the original article here.
Pros
  • 3:2 aspect ratio is a huge improvement over previous ThinkPads
  • Plenty of business-friendly features
  • Comfortable keyboard
Cons
  • No full-size HDMI port
  • Keyboard and touchpad are a bit stiff

techradar[5]

Reviewer score 71%
Reviewers from techradar have found the following***:
The X1 Titanium Yoga Gen 1 is very evidently inspired by the MacBook. Its elegant exterior has many subtle nods to popular Cupertino designs. The screen can translate through nearly 360 degrees, allowing the system to work as both a tablet and in ‘tent’ mode if needed. The keyboard has large, well-spaced keys and the signature red ‘nipple’ control.

Pros
  • Sleek design
  • Excellent performance
  • Good battery life
Cons
  • Nothing in particular

techradar[6]

Reviewer score 78%
Reviewers from techradar have found the following***:
The 13.5-inch display is just gorgeous with a crisp 2256 x 1504p (3:2) resolution and up to 450 nits of brightness. The Intel Iris Xe graphics are definitely a step up overall, but they are still integrated graphics, so sketching something out in Photoshop works great, but applying a bunch of filters might not. The performance of the Lenovo ThinkPad X1 Titanium Yoga is fairly in line with what we'd expect from a 2-in-1.
Find the original article here.
Pros
  • Excellent performance
  • Good battery life
  • Good webcam
Cons
  • No Kensington lock slot

theverge[7]

Reviewers from theverge have found the following***:
The ThinkPad X1 Titanium Yoga is an interesting bet. It's a first-generation product, and there are some kinks to be worked out. The Core i5 handled my hefty load of Chrome tabs, Spotify streaming, and Zoom calls with no problem. Battery life was okay, but not spectacular.
Find the original article here.
Pros
  • Stylus support
  • 3:2 aspect ratio
  • Solid build quality
Cons
  • Finicky touchpad
  • Poor battery life

tomsguide[8]

Reviewers from tomsguide have found the following***:
The X1 Titanium Yoga scored an average of 4,747 on the Geekbench 5.3 multicore CPU performance test. It's easy enough to make it through a full workday with time to spare, but the competition is tough to beat. A dedicated app for configuring the Precision Pen lets you choose the functionality of the top and side buttons.

Pros
  • Thin and light
  • Solid performance
  • Comfortable keyboard
  • Good speakers
Cons
  • Mediocre battery life
  • Lackluster webcam

For such a thin device, the ThinkPad X1 Titanium Yoga impresses on cooling. After 15 minutes of streaming video, the device's touchpad only registered 73.4 degrees Fahrenheit (23 degrees Celsius) The Titanium Yoga's built-in software suite largely focuses on genuine utility.

Pros
  • Attractive design
  • Excellent battery life
