Product Overview

HX940 is the flagship in Panasonic's 2020 LCD 4K smart TV lineup. Powered by an HCX Pro Intelligent Processor that can also be found in Panasonic's OLED TVs such as the HZ2000, the HX940 supports a broad set of image and audio processing protocols, delivering immersive HDR and surround sound performance.
The HX940 is backlit by full-array LED (Local Dimming Pro intelligent) to deliver more contrast and better color reproduction.
Panasonic also markets the HX800, which uses the HCX Processor and basic local dimming. There are also less feature-rich models such as the HX600 and the HX580, which progressively does away with image and audio processing.

Reviewer score 63% (normalized by Neofiliac)
    Reviewers from whathifi have found:
The Panasonic TX-65HX940 is a good TV, but it isn't a great one. The levels, for both picture and sound, are shy of the very best at this price. There's a fundamental brightness and zest to the colour that make for an appealing and enjoyable performance. The hard part is that unlocking all of that takes a fair bit of patience.
    Pros
    • Great picture quality
    • Solid black depth
    • Excellent soundtrack
    Cons
    • Lack of dynamism
    • Poor viewing angles
