Product Overview

HX800 is a feature-rich 4K smart TV in Panasonic's 2020 lineup. Powered by an HCX Processor, it supports a broad range of audio and image processing protocols, including Dolby Vision, HLG Photo, and Dolby Atmos.
The HX800 also comes with local dimming backlighting, which improves contrast. The panel also covers a richer gamut than the lower-end options such as the HX600 and HX580.
Panasonic also markets the HX940, which has an even better processor and a faster refresh rate.

There is an excellent amount of detail and it never looks false, noisy or over-sharpened. This Dolby Atmos-enabled TV is fitted with a pair of standard 10W speakers. The most obvious negative is that there isn't much weight to the sound. The only real sacrifice is that the mid-range is fairly unexciting.
