Product Overview

LG NanoCell 90 4K TV is a premium smart TV in LG's 2020 lineup. It features full-array LED backlighting, nano-coated IPS panel, and a premium design similar to that of the NanoCell 99 (which is an 8K flagship).
Powered by an α7 Gen 3 Processor 4K processor, the NanoCell 90 supports a broad range of audio and image processing technologies and a large set of connectivity options.
The NanoCell 91 available in some markets is essentially the same unit as the NanoCell 90, though it comes with a different stand.
An OLED alternative to the NanoCell 90 would be the LG BX-series, which offers much of the same feature set except for the difference in panel technology.

    rtings[1]

Reviewer score 69% (normalized by Neofiliac)
    Reviewers from rtings have found:
The LG NANO90 is a good overall upper-mid range TV. Its IPS panel provides fairly wide viewing angles, although they're not as wide as some other TVs. It has a full-array local dimming feature, which is a nice touch, but it doesn't produce the same deep blacks as VA panel TVs. Overall, it's a slight upgrade over its predecessor, the LG SM9000 and most people should be happy with this TV.
    Pros
    • IPS panel provides wide viewing angles
    • Good out-of-the-box color accuracy
    Cons
    • Mediocre contrast ratio

    t3[2]

Reviewer score 75% (normalized by Neofiliac)
    Reviewers from t3 have found:
The 65NANO906 looks okay. Its frame is reasonably but not spectacularly thin. Its finish is glossy but a bit plasticky. Its feet don't draw attention to themselves, but aren't particularly stylish either. Its rear gets a nice smooth finish, but is relatively chunky by today's standards. It's easy to forgive the slightly chunky rear, though, given that this set is using direct rather than edge LED lighting. The combination of LG's unique ‘point and click' Magic remote control and attractive webOS smart interface make it very easy to use.
    Pros
    • Gorgeous OLED panel
    • Superb black levels
    • Great gaming features
    Cons
    • Slightly chunky rear
    • No Dolby Atmos

Reviewer score 88% (normalized by Neofiliac)
    Reviewers from techradar have found:
The 65NANO906's new backlight power management system truly transforms LG's LCD HDR fortunes. Bright, colourful HDR pictures lose precious little of their contrast and intensity when viewed from even a wide angle. Native 4K pictures look crisp and detailed - and LG's latest Cinema Clear motion option ensures that detail levels stay high even when there's a lot of motion in a 24p movie.
    Pros
    • Gorgeous black levels
    • Excellent local dimming
    Cons
    • Backlight issues
    • No Dolby Atmos

Reviewer score 71% (normalized by Neofiliac)
    Reviewers from trustedreviews have found:
LG 65NANO906 is a big TV that looks great with 4K content, promises a brilliant next-gen gaming experience and doesn't cost an arm and a leg. Colour palette is wide-ranging enjoys real breadth of tonality and is convincing in every circumstance. LG does good work with motion, too, keeping edges smooth and uniform even during the most testing instances of movement. There's a reasonable depth of field to images, and picture noise is repressed zealously.
    Pros
    • Excellent picture quality
    • Excellent motion-handling
    • Good value for money
    Cons
    • Lack of detail in deep black tones
    • No Dolby Vision
