Product Overview

LG GX series 4K OLED smart TVs now feature the new Alpha 9 Gen 3 AI Processor for improved processing power and AI deep learning algorithms.
The 55", 65", and 77" models are extremely thin and can hang flush against the wall. Hence, the GX series smart TVs are specifically designed for wall mount, transforming the OLED panel into an art frame. The GX series models join the WX Wallpaper series and LG SIGNATURE OLED R (65RX) to provide spectacular space integration.
They also feature 120Hz refresh rate and support NVIDIA G-SYNC and AMD FreeSync for superior gaming performance.
The GX Series share the same technical specifications and functionalities as the Wallpaper (WX) Series, the Rollable RX Series, and CX Series.

LG's Gallery Series GX OLED begs a premium, but the added investment is returned in the form of gorgeous design, a slick wall mount system, and improved user experience. Outfitted with full-spec HDMI 2.1 ports and every available gamer-friendly feature, LG's 2020 OLEDs make a compelling case for gamers looking for a large-format display.

The LG GX OLED is an incredible TV for watching movies. It has a nearly infinite contrast ratio and perfect black uniformity. Gamers should enjoy the 120Hz refresh rate, VRR support, near-instant response time, and low input lag. Unfortunately, it has the risk of permanent burn-in, so it's not ideal to use as a PC monitor.

    Pros
    • Outstanding reflection handling
    • Wide viewing angles
    • Near-instant response time
    • Low input lag
    Cons
    • Can't remove 24p judder from any source
    • Doesn't get bright enough to combat glare in well-lit environments

The GX Gallery OLED series is an impressive achievement. Its cosmetic design is top notch, and overall image quality is similarly accomplished. The execution of AI image processing is subtle and effective, although HD upscaling can't really claim an edge over rivals. The absence of Freeview Play, with zero UK catch-up players, is more of an issue.

The LG Gallery Series brings a new definition to the term flatscreen. At $2,499/£2,099 for just a 55-inch screen, it's easily one of the most expensive OLED TVs out there. It's not that the Gallery Series' sound quality is the worst we've ever heard, but it's nothing to write home about.

    Pros
    • Beautiful picture-on-wall design

The OLED65GX represents a strong start for LG's 2020 OLED TVs. Its 2019 models were exemplary, and the company has managed to improve picture quality in a few key areas. Even in 2020, one can't live off 4K alone, so it's reassuring to know that the GX's Full HD performance is also strong. Few TVs are better suited to being wall-mounted, and if wall-mounting isn't your plan, we wouldn't recommend the set.
