autoexpress[1]
Reviewer score 71%Bentley has gone bold with its first ever SUV. The Bentayga promises to raise the bar for upmarket off-roaders. It shares a fair chunk of its underpinnings with the current Audi Q7 SUV. We were surprised to discover that the new Bentley doesn't quite have the Range Rover's sense of occasion or kit count.

Pros
- Fantastic off-road capability
- Powerful V8 engine
Cons
- Lacks up-to-date cabin tech
autoexpress[2]
Reviewer score 75%Opulent, ostentatious and surprisingly fun to drive. Using the same 4.0-litre twin-turbo petrol engine as the Porsche Cayenne Turbo, it sprints from 0-62mph four tenths slower than its German sibling. The eight-speed ZF gearbox is as silky smooth as ever, yet it'll fire off changes as quickly as the best dual-clutch transmissions.

Pros
- Fantastic off-roader
- Comfortable to drive
- Excellent infotainment system
Cons
- Pricier than rivals
autoexpress[3]
Reviewer score 70%More than half of Bentley's sales are made up of Bentaygas. It was inevitable the brand's first SUV would be in line for the Speed treatment. 6.0-litre W12 engine churns out 626bhp and 900Nm of torque. Can slingshot the Bentayga Speed from 0-62mph in 3.9 seconds and carry on until it hits 190mph.

Pros
- Powerful W12 engine
- Comfortable to drive
Cons
- Not the fastest SUV on the market
autoexpress[4]
Reviewer score 75%The Bentayga SUV has been brought more into line with the family look. The front, which gains higher-set headlights and a larger, more upright grille, is still best described as imposing. The only engine available at launch is the 4.0-litre twin-turbocharged V8, which is essentially unaltered from before.

Pros
- Brilliant new looks
- Fantastic cabin quality
Cons
- Nothing in particular
carmagazine[5]
Reviewer score 52%VW Group’s 3.0-litre V6 is relatively seamless – but still abrupt enough to be noticed. It's quiet enough when driven sedately, with the electric motor helping it feel like a larger powerplant. But push harder and it's coarse and gravelly when revving, which sounds a tad uncouth. Performance is certainly brisk with 0-62mph taking 5.5sec, but those hoping for a proper wallop in the back will be somewhat disappointed.

Pros
- Powerful V6
- Comfortable to drive
- Good range
Cons
- Lacklustre performance
- V6 lacks refinement
- No 48v anti-roll bars
carmagazine[6]
Reviewer score 84%At £136k the Bentayga Diesel sits £k below the W12. The diesel V8, with its sequential turbos and lag-killing 7kW electric compressor, seems to halve the Bentley's 2.5-tonne kerb weight. You barely close the doors, because they'll close themselves when your weak shove fails to do the job. Cold mornings are rendered balmy by a heated seat.

Pros
- Incredibly easy to drive
- Superb performance
- Excellent infotainment system
Cons
- Noisy diesel V8
- Lag-killing engine
carmagazine[7]
Reviewer score 73%The Bentayga retains that conservative, olde-worlde Bentley air characterised by an over-abundance of wood, leather and chrome. Powered by a re-engineered 6.0-litre W12 producing 600bhp and 664lb ft of torque. BDR is an active body control suspension system that incorporates electrically controlled active anti-roll bars.

Pros
- Powerful V8 engine
- Impressive range of driving modes
Cons
- Expensive for what’s on offer
cnet[8]
Reviewer score 68%Bentley's new Bentayga Hybrid has a 3.0-liter V6 engine and 94-kilowatt electric motor. The battery pack can be recharged from a Level 2 (240-volt) outlet in 2.5 hours. The suspension does a fine job of ironing out road imperfections, even on 22-inch wheels.
Find the original article here.
Pros
- Powerful V8 engine
- Comfortable to drive
- Easy-to-use infotainment system
Cons
- Not as fun to drive as V8- or W12-powered models
- Only 16 miles of electric range
digitaltrends[9]
Reviewer score 62%The Bentayga Hybrid's greatest asset isn't its fuel efficiency or performance – it's the way it drives. Its copious torque and smooth, quiet operation are exactly the qualities this revered British automaker is known for. A full recharge from a standard household outlet takes 7.5 hours. Bentley offers a three-year warranty with unlimited mileage.

Pros
- Elegant interior
- Excellent off-road performance
- Excellent infotainment system
Cons
- No DC fast-charging option
- No hybrid option
