nextpit[1]
Reviewer score 89% (normalized by Neofiliac)Deep Fusion should enable unsurpassed detail-rich photos even in difficult lighting conditions. Apple has also reworked both the standard iOS camera app and the photo app. Panorama photos can reach a maximum resolution of 63 megapixels. The night mode is currently the best in a smartphone, better than the one in the Google Pixel 3.
Pros
- New ultrawide-angle lens
- High-contrast display
- Excellent night mode
- Excellent battery life
Cons
- No telephoto lens
- No wireless charging
notebookcheck[2]
Reviewer score 78% (normalized by Neofiliac)The Pro Max has just as stable viewing angles as any other OLED smartphone. Apple has equipped the Pro Max with an A13 Bionic SoC, which the company claims is 20% more powerful than the A12 Bionic. The Pro Max runs rather hot even when idling, with surface temperatures peaking around 35 °C on some areas of the device. The large display and stereo speakers deliver an engrossing gaming experience.
Pros
- High-quality OLED display
- Good battery life
- Long-lasting battery
Cons
- Display could be brighter
- Slow SoC
pcmag[3]
Reviewer score 92% (normalized by Neofiliac)The iPhone 11 Pro and 11 Pro Max are the best iPhones you can buy. Both Pro models have the same cameras on the back, there are regular, wide-angle, and 2x zoom 12MP shooters. On the front, there's a 7MP selfie camera and an infrared Face ID camera.
Pros
- Bigger, better-than-average cameras
- Long battery life
- New 18-watt charger
Cons
- No 3.5mm headphone jack
- No 5G support
t3[4]
Reviewer score 93% (normalized by Neofiliac)Apple has improved wireless connectivity across the board here. An extra Bluetooth antenna gives longer range, which is great for headphones and Apple Watch – we've seen the connections for both last clearly longer distances. There's no 5G, but we never expected there to be – Apple waits for new tech like this to settle down a little before it includes it. If you have an iPhone numbered 8 or lower, I think this is the perfect time to upgrade generally.
Pros
- Bigger screen
- Bigger and better cameras
- Great battery life
Cons
- No 5G
- No headphone jack
whathifi[5]
Reviewer score 99% (normalized by Neofiliac)Apple's Portrait feature is better than ever, with a high-exposure mode to create more studio-like photos. The iPhone 11 Pro will visually suggest enhancements as you shoot, such as a better angle, focus or camera mode. Apple has put a lot of effort into improving the speaker performance of the 11 Pro through the introduction of spatial audio with support for Dolby Atmos.
Pros
- Gorgeous OLED display
- Improved low-light performance
Cons
- No headphone adapter in the box
wired[6]
Reviewer score 96% (normalized by Neofiliac)The iPhone 11 Pro Max is going to give you the best battery life of any iPhone. All three new iPhones shoot 4K video at 60 frames per second, as did the phones last year. The front-facing camera now shoots video in 4K, and captures “slofies”
Pros
- Great battery life
- Long-lasting battery
- Improved cameras
- Improved Night Mode
Cons
- No headphone jack
- No wireless charging
