Product Overview

Audi Q7 Mk2 (Type 4M) facelift is a large crossover in production from 2019. It is available with a range of V6 engines that displaced 3.0 liters. In some markets, a tiny I4 is also offered.
While VW markets it as an "SUV", the Mk2 Q7 is more appropriately described as a fat station wagon. This facelift uglified the front-end and brought more "woke" engines that probably will grenade themselves sooner than before.
Utility-minded owners will love the 2050L (72cu-ft) cargo space.
Drivers who appreciate handling will be pleased to know that the Audi Q7 comes with multi-link suspensions at all four corners.

Reviewers from autocar have found the following***:
The Q7 is a car that seems far happier to waft you along in calm, quiet comfort - and on that front it really does impress. In addition to the 50 TDI model on the standard air suspension set-up, we also were able to sample the 55 TFSI petrol on the firmer sports configuration. The 335bhp, 369lb ft motor pulls strongly in a smooth refined manner, and leaves no impression that it's at all wanting for performance.

Pros
  • Powerful diesel engine
  • Comfortable to drive
  • Decent handling manners
Cons
  • Slightly taut ride
  • Not the most fun to drive

Reviewers from autocar have found the following***:
The plug-in hybrid Audi Q7 55 TFSIe has a 3.0-litre V6 turbo petrol engine and an AC synchronous electric motor. Zero- emissions range is quoted as 27.3- 29.8 miles, and we managed 23 miles from a full charge on a hot day with the air conditioning blowing hard. Overall output runs to 375bhp and 443lb ft.

Pros
  • Powerful electric motor
  • Comfortable to drive
Cons
  • Heavy and heavy
  • No hybrid drive options

autocar[3]

Reviewers from autocar have found the following***:
The previous Q7 was offered in plug-in hybrid (PHEV) form with both a 2.0-litre petrol engine and (with e-tron branding) a V6 diesel hybrid powertrain. Having given the model an extensive facelift earlier this year, Audi has ditched both of those units. The sole plugin model will now be based around a 335bhp petrol V6 engine. Mated to a 126bhp electric motor, it has a combined system output of 443bhp and 516lb ft.

Pros
  • Nimble and easy to drive
  • Powerful electric motor
Cons
  • Pricier than alternatives
  • Only five seats

autoexpress[4]

Reviewers from autoexpress have found the following***:
The latest Audi Q7 is one of the best luxury SUVs on sale. A thorough update in 2019 means it's more than capable of taking on similarly modern rivals like the BMW X5 and Mercedes GLE. The cavernous interior offers plenty of space for seven, entry level models are well-equipped and there's a decent range of mild hybrid engines.

Pros
  • Gorgeous seven-seat cabin
  • Excellent fuel economy
Cons
  • Lack of standard equipment

autoexpress[5]

Reviewer score 71%
Reviewers from autoexpress have found the following***:
Audi has focused its attention on aesthetics, technology and mild-hybrid efficiency. The facelifted car is still based on the same larger iteration of the VW Group's MLB EVO platform as the Bentley Bentayga, Lamborghini Urus and Volkswagen Touareg. Unlike its cousins, the Q7 boasts a standard seven-seat layout and so stands as Audi's answer to the Land Rover Discovery, Mercedes GLE and Volvo XC90.

Pros
  • Sleek looks
  • Comfortable to drive
  • Excellent infotainment system
Cons
  • Lacklustre ride quality

autoexpress[6]

Reviewers from autoexpress have found the following***:
The new 55 TFSI mild-hybrid powertrain makes a lot of sense in the Audi Q7. Its smooth, quiet operation and effortless performance match the car's new, more luxurious character. The facelifted Q7 is still one of the best luxury SUVs in its class – but the 50 TDI will be a better pick for most buyers.

Pros
  • Comfortable to drive
  • Lots of standard equipment
Cons
  • Cheap to run
  • Not cheap to buy

Reviewers from autoexpress have found the following***:
The Audi Q7 60 TFSIe Competition is a worthy addition to the large SUV range. It has the same abilities as other Q7s, of course – but it scores heavily on refinement and cabin tech. Plus it may yet have a trump card to play on CO2 emissions and, as a result, running costs.

Reviewer score 81%
Reviewers from cnet have found the following***:
With all the rear seats folded, the Q7 has 69.6 cubic feet of room behind just the third row. At 10.1 inches, the main one on the dashboard handles infotainment and navigation duties. This multi-screen arrangement looks complicated, but it's all quite easy to use.
