Product Overview

Volvo V60 II is a compact executive station wagon in production from 2018. It is available with a range of inline-4 engines that displaced 2.0 liters.
Compared to the larger V90, the V60 Mk2 is optimized for the driver, even though it shares the exact same drivetrain options.
Volvo has made a good effort in aerodynamics, with a decent 0.28 coefficient of drag to show for it. The official fuel economy rating is exceptionally rosy, though it may cast more doubts on the trustworthiness of the regulators and perhaps the owner's own sanity than it relates to reality.
Drivers who appreciate handling will be pleased to know that the Volvo V60 II comes with double-wishbone and multi-link suspensions.

External Reviews

autocar[1]

Reviewer score 75% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from autocar have found:
Front seats are big and can sit you lower than in the V90, while the steering wheel has masses of reach. Rear passengers get loads of leg room (the V60's 2872mm wheelbase is 62mm longer than the 3 Series’, plus the transverse engine makes for compact packaging) The boot has a flat floor, well-finished sides, luggage hooks in the floor, hooks on the window ledge, an elastic strap on the side.
Pros
  • Comfortable to drive
  • Comfortable and controlled
Cons
  • D4 engine is a little grumbly at idle

Reviewer score 76% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from autoexpress have found:
Until now, if you wanted a compact executive Volvo estate with a plug-in hybrid powertrain, you had little choice but to opt for the fire-breathing 395bhp V60 T8 – with or without the punchy Polestar pack. At a smidge over £45k, it's more affordable for private buyers, while the company car drivers this model is so firmly aimed at will love the bargain Benefit-in-Kind tax banding of just 10 per cent.
Pros
  • Powerful petrol engine
  • Stylish interior
  • Excellent handling
Cons
  • Not as sharp to drive as a BMW 3 Series Touring
