Product Overview

Volvo V90 facelift is an executive station wagon in production from 2020. It is available with a range of inline-4 engines that displaced 2.0 liters.
Compared to the pre-facelift V90, the facelifted car brought minor cosmetic changes with compliance to Euro 6d emission standard. In other aspects, Volvo made little effort in order to maximize profit and save R&D budget for non-ICE vehicles.
The official fuel economy rating is exceptionally rosy, though it may cast more doubts on the trustworthiness of the regulators and perhaps the owner's own sanity than it relates to reality.

autocar[1]

Reviewer score 67% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from autocar have found:
Volvo is firmly focused on electrification through its Recharge range of plug-in hybrid and electric powertrains. Visual tweaks include a lower front bumper and foglights, a revamped rear spoiler and a new LED tail-light design. The V90’s boot remains unchanged, offering a substantial 560 litres capacity, rising to 1526 litres when the seats are folded down.
Pros
  • Sophisticated styling
  • Comfortable to drive
  • Stylish interior
Cons
  • Mild-hybrid engines aren’t for everyone

autoexpress[2]

Reviewer score 70% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from autoexpress have found:
The V90 shares chassis parts and engines with the excellent XC90 SUV, and the S90 saloon. It reflects Volvo's different approach to premium big cars, with relatively small-capacity four-cylinder, turbocharged petrol and diesel engines instead of a big V6. Prices start from around £41,000, with the plug-in hybrid models weighing in at over £56,000.
Pros
  • Class-leading infotainment tech
  • Comfortable to drive
Cons
  • No six cylinder engine options
  • Lack of standard equipment

cnet[3]

Reviewer score 70% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from cnet have found:
Volvo offers its T5 and T6 engines here, which you'll find in pretty much every one of the company's other models. There's great visibility out the front and an Individual driving mode allows you to tailor things like the throttle, steering and even the brakes to your liking. The steering has nice weight, but feels a little numb.
Pros
  • Easy-to-drive V90
  • Great visibility out the front
  • Comfortable ride
Cons
  • Lack of standard driver-assistance tech
  • Fiddly infotainment system
