BMW 3 Series Touring G21 is a compact executive station wagon in production from 2019. It is available with a range of inline-4 and inline-6 engines that displaced 2.0 to 3.0 liters.
Compared to the F31 3 Series Touring, the G21 has a sharper exterior styling, though the updates are incremental. The same engines found in the LCI F31 are carried over, with notable improvements in predicted reliability.

Reviewer score 66% turbocharged, four-cylinder 320d has already proved as such in the four-door 3 Series. Stowage capacity has grown slightly to 500 litres from the outgoing model's 495. A widened tailgate, lower lip and electrically folding rear bench make loading far more convenient. Flatten the rear seats and there's 1510 litres of room, which can only be beaten by Skoda’s Superb Estate.

Reviewer score 75%Top-spec M Sport Plus Edition car rides on 19in alloy wheels, rather than the 18in set fitted to the standard M Sport model. It also gets adaptive suspension, upgraded brakes, variable sport steering and an active differential. While the Touring grips and steers very well, it still lacks a little of the precision and directness that we know its platform to be capable of. But it can still claim to be one of the most dynamic estate cars around.

It is now the only six-cylinder model in the current line-up, using an updated version of the familiar 3.0-litre B58 engine that sees power taken up to 369bhp. The eight-speed automatic gearbox has bespoke ratios, and its suspension has been tuned to give it an edge over non-M Performance cars.

Reviewer score 81%The driving position and front passenger space in the Touring is naturally identical to other 3 Series models. The seats and steering wheel have masses of adjustment, and although the driving position is low-ish that only adds to the sporty feel. The 500-litre boot is just five litres shy of the Audi A4 Avant's and 40 litres bigger than the Mercedes C-Class’s.
