    Reviewer score 58%
Reviewers from autocar have found the following***:
The Veloster N shares the same 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder engine as the i30N. In the US the standard 247bhp version is only a couple of hundred dollars more than the less powerful VW Golf GTI. The upgraded Performance version adds a power boost to 271bhp, a limited slip differential, bigger brakes and upgraded tyres, yet still slips under the $30,000 barrier.

    Pros
    • Punchy turbocharged four-cylinder engine
    • Fun to drive
    Cons
    • Lack of practicality
    • Alternatives are more fun to drive

Reviewers from cnet have found the following***:
The Veloster N starts at $27,820, and there's only one option offered: the $2,100 Performance Package. There's plenty of room to stretch out in front, and back-seat space is decent for a car this size. Cargo capacity is also pretty good, with 19.9 cubic feet behind the back seats.

    Pros
    • Gorgeous looks
    • Excellent fuel economy
    • Comfortable ride
    Cons
    • Poor cabin tech
    • Poor infotainment

    cnet[3]

    Reviewer score 78%
Reviewers from cnet have found the following***:
The Veloster N is still a performance bargain, just not as major as before. The 2021 model starts at $33,245 including a $995 destination charge, up from $28,575 last year. It's not as comfortable or practical as a GTI, and the Type R is sharper and more focused.

    Pros
    • Fun to drive
    • New infotainment system
    • More fun to drive than before
    Cons
    • Not as comfortable or practical as a GTI
    • No heated steering wheel
