Product Overview

Kia Ceed 3 (chassis code CD) facelift is an affordable compact hatchback in production from 2021. It is available with a range of inline-3 and inline-4 engines that displaced 1.0 to 1.6 liters.
Compared to the pre-facelift, the facelifted Ceed 3 is arguably busier in styling. Its engines grew smaller and more complex, and one may be best advised to avoid these. Still, those who love electronic gizmos may be impressed.
The mild-hybrid drivetrain enables new efficiency features, though the difference is, as the name suggests, mild.
The official fuel economy rating is exceptionally rosy, though it may cast more doubts on the trustworthiness of the regulators and perhaps the owner's own sanity than it relates to reality.

Reviewers from autocar have found:
The Ceed lags behind the Sportage and Niro in terms of sales. The third-generation Ceed has received design changes to bring it into line with the firm’s latest design trends. The interior has also received an upgrade, notably with higher-spec cars gaining a new 12.3in digital instrument display and 10.25in touchscreen. Kia has also added a host of new driver assistance systems to the Ceed.
Pros
  • Stylish looks
  • Comfortable to drive
Cons
  • Lacks premium sheen and dynamic appeal
  • No hybrid option

The Kia Ceed is one of Kia's biggest-selling models in Europe. It is part of a four-strong family of models: a five-door hatchback, Sportswagon estate, ProCeed shooting brake and new Xceed crossover. Two petrol engines are available: a 1.0-litre unit with 118bhp, or a more powerful 1.5- litre delivering 158bhp. A 134bhp 1.6 CRDi diesel with 48v mild-hybrid technology also features, as does a 139bhp plug-in hybrid in the Xceed range.
Pros
  • Comfortable to drive
  • Five-year warranty
Cons
  • Lack of standard equipment
