Product Overview

Audi A5 Sportback B9 (Type 8W6) facelift is a compact executive liftback sedan in production from 2019. It is available with a range of inline-4 and V6 engines that displaced 2.0 to 3.0 liters.
Compared to the pre-facelift, the facelifted B9 A5 Sportback has a more complex front grille and new lighting elements. In most other regards, it is just an incremental update with little that is compelling.
Audi has made a good effort in aerodynamics, with a decent 0.26 coefficient of drag to show for it.
Drivers who appreciate handling will be pleased to know that the Audi A5 Sportback comes with multi-link suspensions at all four corners. This provides the best cornering performance and tunability, at the expense of cost and a little bit of durability.

External Reviews

autoexpress[1]

Reviewer score 79% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from autoexpress have found:
The Audi A5 Sportback is the five-door sister model to the A5 Coupe. Both cars share their mechanical running gear with the Audi A4 executive saloon. It's not as fun to drive as a BMW 4 Series Gran Coupe, but even versions without quattro all-wheel-drive feel planted and refined. The interior is among the classiest and best built of any car currently on sale.
Pros
  • Best-in-class interior
  • Comfortable to drive
  • Excellent infotainment system
Cons
  • No quattro four-wheel drive
