Product Overview

Renault Megane Mk4 facelift is an affordable compact hatchback in production from 2020 to 2022. It was available with a range of inline-4 engines that displaced 1.3 to 1.8 liters.
Compared to the pre-facelift model, the facelifted Megane received only minor cosmetic updates. Thankfully, the performance variants, RS and RS Trophy, remained available.

External Reviews

Reviewer score 62% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from autocar have found:
A Mégane RS with a manual gearbox will cost French buyers more in tax than one with a six-speed dual-clutch automatic. A modest hike in power and torque from the base Megane RS’s 1.8-litre four-pot petrol engine is something of a consolation. You still get four-wheel steering and a set of rally-style hydraulic suspension bump stops.
Pros
  • Powerful turbocharged engine
  • Excellent infotainment system
  • Comfortable to drive
Cons
  • No manual gearbox
  • Some ergonomic issues

autoexpress[2]

Reviewer score 73% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from autoexpress have found:
The Renault Megane R.S. 300 Trophy is only available in EDC Efficient Dual-Clutch automatic form. It features the firmer Cup chassis, a Torsen limited-slip differential, Brembo bi-metallic brakes and a bespoke set-up for its springs and dampers. The engine is the same 296bhp 1.8-litre four-cylinder turbocharged unit as before, so while launch control, the gearbox and the diff combine to give a 5.7-second 0-62mph time. There's 420Nm of torque on tap, but it doesn't pull as hard as we'd like with a really gutsy character.
Pros
  • Powerful turbocharged engine
  • Comfortable to drive
Cons
  • Not as punchy as a Honda Civic Type R
