Product Overview

Renault Megane Mk3 Coupe is an affordable 3-door hatchback in production from 2008 to 2016. It was available with a range of inline-4 engines that displaced 1.2 to 2.0 liters.
Falsely marketed as "coupe", the Megane Coupe is just a 3-door hatchback based on the 5-door Megane. The vehicle has roughly the same dimensions and the same drivetrain options as the latter.
Unfortunately, this means that the Megane Coupe is poorly engineered and badly put together. It has an awkward exterior styling and reduced practicality.
Still, the Megane RS and variants of it can be quite interesting, if uncomfortable and more impractical.

carmagazine[1]

Reviewer score 53% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from carmagazine have found:
The 1.6-litre four-cylinder offers 128bhp and 236lb ft. Spitting 104g/km out from under the silver rear diffuser sits the Megane Coupe a tax band lower than a similarly powerful VW Scirocco 2.0 TDI. It's good – perhaps even blessed with a better chassis than you might expect of a cooking Renault. But there's little of the chassis fizz and playful adjustability the RS-tuned car offers.
Pros
  • Punchy turbocharged engine
  • Comfortable to drive
  • Decent interior
Cons
  • Fiddly infotainment system
  • Ridiculously expensive
