Product Overview

Ford Fiesta 7 is an entry-level subcompact hatchback in production from 2017 to 2020, whereupon it received a facelift. It was available with a range of inline-3 and inline-4 engines that displaced 1.0 to 1.5 liters.
Compared to the Fiesta 6, Ford made little efforts in improving the design of the vehicle. The main differences involve downsized engines and more gears in the DCT. The mild-hybrid drivetrain enables new efficiency features, though the difference is, as the name suggests, mild.
Ford has made a good effort in aerodynamics, with a decent 0.28 coefficient of drag to show for it. The official fuel economy rating is exceptionally rosy, though it may cast more doubts on the trustworthiness of the regulators and perhaps the owner's own sanity than it relates to reality.
Another plus is the small 9.8m (32.1ft) turning circle.

External Reviews

autocar[1]

Reviewer score 84% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from autocar have found:
There’s plenty of urgency, plenty of character and, in spite of the torque, a likeable willingness to rev. The Fiesta ST feels a shade more precise in its steering response than the last one did. On a trailing throttle, the Fiesta ST can be teased into easily tamed oversteer more dependably and willingly than any other hot supermini. Its handling balance and adjustability remain truly exceptional.
Pros
  • Superb handling
  • Superb infotainment system
  • Fantastic handling
Cons
  • Nothing in particular

autoexpress[2]

Reviewer score 59% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from autoexpress have found:
The Ford really comes into its own with the ride. It's better to drive, but also more comfortable than the SEAT. Interior quality is good, yet it's here where the Ibiza makes up ground. Zetec trim brings air-conditioning, lane keep and a 6.5-inch touchscreen with smartphone tech.
Pros
  • Excellent infotainment system
  • Comfortable to drive
  • Good range of kit
Cons
  • Poor performance
  • Not as fun to drive
