Audi S3 Sportback (Typ 8V) facelift is a performance version of the A3 compact hatchback in production from 2016 to 2020. It was powered by a turbocharged inline-4 petrol engine that displaced 2.0 liters.
Compared to the pre-facelift model, the facelifted S3 Sportback is slightly more imposing. Audi also upgraded the DCT transmission to a 7-speed unit. Unfortunately, with the introduction of Euro 6d emission standard, the manual transmission was dropped halfway in the production cycle, while the DCT model received a power cut (and complexity increase that implies decreased reliability and durability: Thank you bureaucracy!).
Drivers who appreciate handling should keep in mind that the Audi S3 Sportback uses MacPherson front suspension, which doesn't provide the best cornering performance.
