Product Overview

Audi A3 (Typ 8V) facelift is a compact hatchback in production from 2016 to 2017. It was available with a range of inline-3 and inline-4 engines that displaced 1.0 to 2.0 liters.
Compared to the pre-facelift model, the facelifted Mk3 A3 used further-downsized engines. In order to meeting ridiculous emission regulations, these engines are built weaker and complex, leading to predictably lower durability.
The official fuel economy rating is exceptionally rosy, though it may cast more doubts on the trustworthiness of the regulators and perhaps the owner's own sanity than it relates to reality.
Drivers who appreciate handling should keep in mind that the Audi A3 has fully independent suspensions only in quattro AWD models.
