Product Overview

Fujifilm GF 45mm F2.8 R WR is a wide-normal prime lens for Fujifilm G-mount. It covers the 44x33 medium format image circle. Introduced by Fujifilm in 2017, it has 11 elements in 8 groups.
For incremental weathers, Fujifilm is kind enough to include weather sealing. On the lens barrel, one can find a physical aperture ring. Those who wish to focus manually can have the best of both worlds (with the usual caveats).
A wide-normal prime lens with 36mm full-frame equivalent focal length and compact and lightweight package, the Fujifilm GF 45mm F2.8 R WR is well suited for landscape and street photography.

pcmag[1]

Reviewer score 77% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from pcmag have found:
The Fujinon GF 45mm F2.8 R WR covers a wider angle of view, roughly equivalent to a 35mm lens on a full-frame system. It is impeccably sharp, shows very little distortion, and only exhibits a slight vignette at its widest aperture. The minimum focus distance is 17.7 inches (45cm), but I didn't find it too limiting.
Pros
  • Excellent resolution across the frame
  • Dust and moisture protection
  • Automatic focus ring
Cons
  • No stabilization
  • No IBIS
