Product Overview

Fujifilm X-E4 is a compact and lightweight APS-C mirrorless camera in Fuji's X-mount system. It shares its 4th-gen X-Trans sensor with the X-T4 debuted last year. Despite its positioning, the X-E4 comes with a full set of features for both stills and video, making it a great option for enthusiasts.
At just 32.7mm thin, the X-E4 is exceptionally portable for a full-featured camera. It is equipped with Fujifilm's latest autofocus system that is able to acquire subjects under just 0.02 seconds. Its rear LCD display can be flipped forwards for selfies and vlogging, too.
Last but not least, the X-E4 down-samples from 6K full-sensor readout for 4K video recording. Its able to record 8bit 4:2:0 internally or 10bit 4:2:2 via HDMI.

Reviewers from pcmag have found:
Image quality is as good as you'll get from an APS-C camera. Fujifilm's X system has served rangefinder camera devotees from the jump. The X-E4 drops the optical portion of the viewfinder, but it doesn't detract too much from the experience.
Pros
  • Excellent image quality
  • Flexible viewfinder
  • 5-axis IBIS
  • In-camera charging
Cons
  • Doesn't include a stabilized sensor
  • No 4:2:2 image sensor

The Fujifilm X-E4 is a good choice for landscape and sports photography. It's very compact and lightweight, making it easy to slip in and out of a pocket or carrying pouch. Video quality in FHD and 4k is good overall, though you may notice a bit of noise when shooting in darker environments. Its minimalistic design can make it uncomfortable to use for long shooting sessions.
Pros
  • Great image quality out of the box
  • Compact, lightweight design
  • Excellent video quality
  • Good noise handling capability
  • Impressive video performance
Cons
  • Lacks in-body image stabilization
  • Can overheat during extended recording sessions
  • No dedicated handgrip or dedicated controls for adjusting exposure parameters on the fly
