The 2021 Lenovo IdeaPad Gaming 3 is an entry-level gaming laptop powered by up to the Ryzen 7 5800H CPU and GeForce RTX 3060 GPU. While sharing the same chassis with the 2020 model, the new IdeaPad Gaming 3 sports fully revamped internals.
The new AMD Ryzen 5000-series processors and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 30-series graphics both offer significant improvements in performance over their predecessors.
Like the 2020 IdeaPad Gaming 3, the 2021 model can be optioned with a FHD display with 45% NTSC coverage; unlike it, the new model comes with a new IPS panel that covers 100% of sRGB color space.
Lenovo has also endowed the new IdeaPad Gaming 3 dual 2W speakers with Nahimic Audio, on par with the Legion 5 and an improvement over the 2020 model.
Alongside the new IdeaPad Gaming 3, Lenovo also refreshed its Legion gaming laptop lineup. Two of these models in the 15-inch class include the redesigned Legion 5 and Legion Slim 7. All models are powered by AMD, with Intel models to be unveiled at a later date.
