Reviewers from androidauthority have found the following***:
Priced at Rs. 85,990 (~$1150) in India, the HP Omen 15 strikes an excellent balance between price and performance. The AMD Ryzen 7 delivers performance that belies the price point, while the graphics card is good enough to facilitate a reasonable gaming experience. While I like the blacked out look, I'd have preferred hard plastics over the soft-touch material used here.

Pros
  • Affordable price-to-performance ratio
  • Decent gaming performance
  • Comfortable keyboard
Cons
  • Poor battery life

The Omen 15 has a 2.9-GHz AMD Ryzen 7 4800H processor with 16GB of RAM. It transcoded a 4K video to 1080p in 6 minutes and 1 second, disintegrating the 20:19 category average. On the File Transfer Test, it obtained a transfer rate of 968 megabytes per second.

5,766 points in PCMark 10 catapult the 15-incher to the top position. In terms of latencies, the notebook also does not have to listen to any criticism. The fan control leaves a decent impression when idling and during simple activities. Buyers can also look forward to a fast mass storage device.

pcmag[4]

Sentiment Score 82%
Reviewers from pcmag have found the following***:
The HP Omen 15 is a formidable gaming machine with lots of grunt. Nearly 10 hours of battery life from a gaming notebook, especially one packing an eight-core CPU, is remarkable. It could use a second storage drive, and it is more expensive than your average GeForce GTX 1660 notebook. But if you're already spending that much for what is a luxury, the Omen is a step up.

Pros
  • Powerful eight-core CPU
  • Comfortable keyboard and touchpad
  • Long battery life
Cons
  • No second storage drive
  • No Thunderbolt 3 port

techadvisor[5]

Sentiment Score 55%
Reviewers from techadvisor have found the following***:
The HP Omen 15 is a powerful and reasonably well-balanced machine. AMD's chip is almost always faster than Intel's competitors, which means the Omen delivers responsive performance in day-to-day tasks alongside more ability to handle tougher workloads. Its internal temperatures are fine and it's not noisy when tackling work tasks, but it's too loud during games. The speaker grille becomes too hot, and the underside is warm and potentially uncomfortable if the machine is on your lap.

Pros
  • Fantastic gaming performance
  • Comfortable keyboard
  • Good battery life
Cons
  • Middling CPU performance
  • Middling battery life

techradar[6]

Sentiment Score 72%
Reviewers from techradar have found the following***:
The HP Omen 15 is one huge beast of a gaming laptop to say the least. It is very heavy to carry around on a regular basis and difficult to haul around if you are a regular traveler or commuter. The display is very large, coming in at 15.6 inches with a 144Hz refresh rate. There is also a built-in webcam which records at 720p which is reasonable enough for carrying out everyday video calling (something many of us are doing an increased amount of)

Pros
  • Gorgeous display
  • Excellent battery life
  • Excellent gaming performance
Cons
  • Battery life could be better
  • No external speakers

The HP Omen 15 runs for 6 hours and 13 minutes on our stress test. It can get a bit toasty on the bottom at heavy loads, so be sure to use it on a desk or table. There's quite a bit of software preloaded on the Omen, which is a shame.

Cons
  • Slightly hot

The HP Omen 15 features a Full HD display with a 144Hz refresh rate. The presence of Nvidia G-Sync also helps to prevent screen tearing when gaming. It features a Graphics Switcher, allowing you to swap between ‘Discrete’ and ‘Hybrid’ performance. Despite having such good specs, this configuration is available at a very generous £1600.
