Product Overview

HP Spectre x360 14 is an ultra-thin and light 2-in-1 laptop that sports a 3:2 multi-touch display. Powered by 11th-gen Intel Core Tiger Lake CPUs, the Spectre 14 offers Thunderbolt 4 and WiFi 6 connectivity.
Virtually the same size as the Spectre x360 13, the Spectre 14 offers a larger viewing area, thanks to its display 3:2 aspect ratio that can be configured in OLED. Like other Spectre models, the Spectre 14 retains the iconic diamond-cut all-aluminum body and the 360-degree hinge.
Beyond the aforementioned models, HP also markets the stylish 13-inch Spectre Folio and the larger Spectre x360 15 in its 2020 Spectre lineup.

digitaltrends[1]

Reviewer score 92% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from digitaltrends have found:
The Spectre x360 14 has a high-resolution OLED display, which typically means reduced battery life. It's nowhere near our longest-lasting laptops, but it's a strong showing for a machine with such a lovely and power-hungry display. The Dell XPS 13 9310 is a great alternative if you don't want a 2-in-1.
Pros
  • Incredibly well-built and attractive
  • 3:2 aspect ratio is fantastic
  • Excellent keyboard and touchpad
  • Excellent battery life
Cons
  • No M.2 v1 support
  • No Thunderbolt 3

Reviewers from laptopmag have found:
The Spectre x360 14's edgy yet sophisticated chassis drew me in. The excellent 1920 x 1280-pixel and 3K2K OLED display options told me this one was a keeper. Its size makes it unwieldy as a tablet, there are too many pre-installed apps, and you're stuck at 16GB of RAM.
Pros
  • Sleek, elegant design
  • Excellent battery life
  • Slim and light
  • Excellent keyboard
Cons
  • Poor webcam
  • No Thunderbolt 3

notebookcheck[3]

Reviewers from notebookcheck have found:
The 13.5-inch Spectre x360 14 is a perfect adaptation of the 13.3-inch model. It's faster than the Dell XPS 13 with the same Core i7-1165G7 CPU. Power consumption fluctuates more readily when compared to most other Ultrabooks. There are a few faults, but they are generally easy to overlook.
Pros
  • High contrast ratio display with full sRGB coverage
  • Excellent keyboard feedback
  • Long battery life
Cons
  • High CPU and GPU clock rates
  • Slow black-white response times

Reviewers from pcmag have found:
The Lenovo Yoga 9i is the standout for stamina, lasting nearly 18 hours. The Spectre's brisk response and stellar screen make it a fine choice for photo management. Intel's Iris Xe graphics are superior, but that's not saying a whole lot when it comes to really demanding graphics tasks like the 1080p test here.
Pros
  • Sleek, attractive design
  • Gorgeous OLED screen
  • Excellent battery life
Cons
  • No Thunderbolt 3 port

pcworld[5]

Reviewer score 94% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from pcworld have found:
The HP Spectre x360 14 is the first of its family to come with a 3:2 aspect ratio on its display. The IPS display boasts wide viewing angles, but if it's privacy you're after, you could always opt for the Spectre SKU with HP's Sure View privacy screen. The keyboard has a right-side column for the Delete, Home, Page Up/Down, and End keys.
Pros
  • Sleek, premium design
  • Slim bezels
  • Great battery life
Cons
  • No Thunderbolt 4

t3[6]

Reviewer score 87% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from t3 have found:
The HP Spectre x360 14 features an Intel Core i7-1165G7 chip. This is certified by Intel's Evo platform, which means that HP and Intel have worked together closely to get the maximum of out of the processor. With four speakers, you're sure to get a decent blast of sound from your 2-in-1 device.
Pros
  • Beautiful 2-in-1 screen
  • Excellent battery life
  • Excellent keyboard
Cons
  • No 3.5mm audio jack

theverge[7]

Reviewers from theverge have found:
The Spectre is verified through Intel's Evo platform. It offers Thunderbolt 4, Wi-Fi 6, all-day battery life, quick boot time, fast charging, and reliable performance. The backlit keyboard is snappy with a solid click. The touchpad is noticeably stiffer than some of the best touchpads on the market.
Pros
  • Sleek, classy design
  • Stylus included
  • Excellent battery life
Cons
  • Dim screen

tomsguide[8]

The HP Spectre x360 14 is a great long-term investment for anyone looking to upgrade their mobile workstation. The Intel Core i7 CPU can handle just about anything you can throw at it. The USB-C port supports rapid charging, giving you up to 50 percent battery in just 45 minutes.
Pros
  • Gorgeous 2-in-1 design
  • Solid performance
  • USB-C port
Cons
  • No Thunderbolt 3 port.

tomshardware[9]

Reviewer score 79% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from tomshardware have found:
Like most laptops with OLED screens, the Spectre x360 14's battery life isn't exceptional. It will last you most of the day, but you'll want to bring the braided USB Type-C charger with you. While the Spectre is undoubtedly a premium device, it has the kind of bloat you would expect from some budget machines.
Pros
  • Beautiful 16:10 OLED screen
  • Excellent battery life
  • Stylus included
Cons
  • Bloatware included in Windows 10
