Product Overview

Fujifilm FUJINON XF10-24mmF4 R OIS WR is an ultra-wide angle zoom lens for the company's X-mount APS-C camera system. It features optical image stabilization and improved weather resistance as well as internal zoom.
The XF10-24mmF4 comes with an optical design that includes four aspherical elements and four ED elements, effectively suppressing spherical aberration and chromatic aberration. Thanks to the new high-performance gyro sensor, the new lens produces 3.5-stops of image stabilization. With a camera with in-body image stabilization, such as the XT-4, the combined performance goes up to 6.5-stops along 5-axis.
An internal zoom, the XF10-24 is easy to mount on a gimbal. It is also the first XF lens that comes with an Auto-position lock for the aperture ring, which has been a fan-favorite on the GFX series.

External Reviews

cameralabs[1]

Reviewer score 81% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from cameralabs have found:
Fujifilm XF 10-24mm f4 is an ultra-wide zoom for its X-mount mirrorless cameras. It delivers a 15-36mm equivalent range that's ideal for capturing expansive landscapes, large architecture, or simply big group shots. The optical quality is very good, especially at the wide-end where you want it, and while there's sadly no weather sealing, the optical stabilisation is useful for handheld and video work.
Pros
  • Sharpness at f1.4, f2.8, f3.5, and f4
  • Very good optical quality
Cons
  • No weather sealing

imagingsource[2]

Reviewer score 77% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from imagingsource have found:
Fujinon XF 10-24mm ƒ/4 R OIS is a well-built lens, with an all-metal barrel construction and textured in a satin black finish. Autofocus results are very quick, and near-silent. Distortion is well controlled for the lens, no doubt corrected by the camera from what would be impressive barrel distortion at the wide end.
Pros
  • In-camera correction of CA, vignetting, and distortion
  • Very fast autofocus
  • Very good chromatic aberration
Cons
  • Only 1.4x magnification with minimum close-focusing range of 24cm
