Reviewer score 76% (normalized by Neofiliac)Sennheiser's Momentum True Wireless 2 earbuds have the same 7mm dynamic drivers as the originals. Like the originals, these have touch controls and they work well, although I like Apple's stem-squeezing controls on the AirPods Pro a little better. With an IPX4 rating they are splashproof and should be sweatproof.
Pros
- Excellent sound quality
- Comfortable fit
- Good call quality
Cons
- No wireless charging
- No active noise canceling
digitaltrends[2]
Reviewer score 81% (normalized by Neofiliac)The Momentum True Wireless 2 have their own accompanying app, called Sennheiser Smart Control. The app's featured equalizer is useful in pulling a little more low end or extra treble out of the buds. With properly fitting ear tips, the earbuds do a solid job of blocking out surrounding noise without the feature.
Pros
- Excellent sound quality
- Active noise cancellation
- Excellent battery life
Cons
- No wireless charging
laptopmag[3]
Reviewer score 87% (normalized by Neofiliac)The Sennheiser Momentum True Wireless 2 have active noise cancelling. The earbuds last upwards of 28 hours with an extra 21 hours of power via the charging case. There are very few places where the Momentum outperform the $249 AirPods Pro.
Pros
- Great sound quality
- Attractive design
- Active noise cancelling
Cons
- Bass is a bit boomy
nextpit[4]
Reviewer score 71% (normalized by Neofiliac) Bluetooth is stable but largely under-exploited on the Sennheiser Momentum True Wireless 2. The bass certainly takes precedence over the rest of the frequencies, but the sound remains very precise. The headphones have a little more trouble with high volume highs and we can notice a certain sibilance. But overall, I love the audio rendition of these headphones.
Pros
- Good sound quality
- Good battery life
- Good noise reduction
Cons
- No Bluetooth 5.1
- No wireless charging
notebookcheck[5]
Reviewer score 66% (normalized by Neofiliac)The Sennheiser Momentum True Wireless 2 are among the few TWS headphones that also support the high-resolution aptX audio codec. They feature active noise cancellation (ANC) and a transparent hearing function, which uses the outside microphones to direct ambient noise directly into the ear when necessary. The operation is done exclusively via the large sensor surfaces on the earphones.
Pros
- Outstanding sound quality
- Active noise cancellation
- Transparent Hearing
- Good battery life
Cons
- No wireless charging
- No quick-charging
pcmag[6]
Reviewer score 85% (normalized by Neofiliac)The earpieces already do a decent job of sealing off the ear canal and blocking outside noise, but combined with the ANC, the results are strong. Low-frequency rumble, as you'd hear on a plane or train, is tamped down significantly, as are mid-range sounds. The ANC seems to have little or no effect on the audio performance.
Pros
- Strong audio performance with strong bass depth and bright highs
- Active noise cancellation
- Comfortable fit
Cons
- Noise cancellation isn’t for everyone
rtings[7]
Reviewer score 31% (normalized by Neofiliac)The Sennheiser MOMENTUM True Wireless 2 are alright for neutral sound. They lack low-bass, and their treble is veiled and dull. Their mid-range is fairly well-balanced, and if you want to tweak the sound, the companion app has a graphic EQ plus some presets. While they're somewhat comfortable, they can be fatiguing to wear for long periods.
Pros
- Well-balanced mid-range
- Graphic EQ plus some presets
- Comfortable fit
- Good passive noise isolation performance
Cons
- Lacks low-bass
- Mediocre continuous battery life
t3[8]
Reviewer score 76% (normalized by Neofiliac)The Momentum True Wireless 2 add active noise cancellation and improved battery life to an already great pair of buds. With an RRP of $299.95/£279/AU$499.95, they sit at the higher end of the spectrum in terms of cost for true wireless earbuds. We have seen Sennheiser discount them by as much as $50 in the US and AU$100 in Australia recently though, so it's worth checking with their website.
Pros
- Great sound quality
- Comfortable fit
- Great battery life
Cons
- Not the most comfortable
- Fit can be a bit fiddly
techadvisor[9]
Reviewer score 74% (normalized by Neofiliac)The Sennheiser Momentum True Wireless 2 earbuds cost £279 in the UK and £299 in the US. The buds can last seven hours on a single charge, almost double the originals, and there's a further 21 hours of charge available via the carry case. The only real complaint is that it is a pretty large carry case compared to the likes of the AirPods Pro and Pixel Buds 2, but it's a compromise I'm happy to make.
Pros
- Great audio quality
- Great battery life
- Great build quality
Cons
- No active noise cancellation
- Battery life could be better
techradar[10]
Reviewer score 81% (normalized by Neofiliac)Sennheiser Momentum True Wireless 2 look really sleek and their silver finish looks slick and stylish, without being overly ostentatious. The touch-sensitive housings allow you to answer or reject phone calls, adjust your music playback, and summon your device's voice assistant. We found the controls worked really well, and if you wish, you can assign different functions to the controls via the Sennheisers Smart Control app. There's also a nifty auto-pause feature that stops your music whenever you remove the buds from your ears – handy if you're in a rush.
Pros
- Sleek design
- Excellent sound quality
- Great battery life
Cons
- Noise-cancelling isn’t as good as Sony’s
theverge[11]
Reviewer score 84% (normalized by Neofiliac)There's no hint of harshness to the sound of these earbuds, and bass levels are nicely rounded. People I spoke to reported that I sounded a little quieter and muffled when speaking through the MTW2s. I didn't experience much in the way of connection hiccups, and the earphones synced up well while I was watching video.
Pros
- Excellent sound quality
- Excellent noise-canceling
- Good battery life
Cons
- No wireless charging
- No touch controls
tomsguide[12]
Reviewer score 71% (normalized by Neofiliac)Sennheiser's Momentum True Wireless 2 earbuds are more than a match for the AirPods Pro on audio quality. ANC can completely silence low-level droning, such as air conditioning, and makes a reasonable effort with louder sounds like passing traffic. transparent listening mode is good enough even if it's not the best in its class.
Pros
- Comfortable fit
- Easy-to-use app
- Decent audio quality
Cons
- Battery life could be better
- No water resistance
trustedreviews[13]
Reviewer score 77% (normalized by Neofiliac)The Momentum True Wireless 2 deliver a rich, textured and lush performance that’s easy on the ears and never overcooked. Transparent Hearing can be activated onboard or via the app, and in the app is the choice to keep music playing or not when ambient sound is engaged. Treble reproduction is expressed with detail and clarity, and stereo imaging is excellent.
Pros
- Engrossing sound
- Comfortable fit
- Transparent Hearing
Cons
- Battery life could be better
whathifi[14]
Reviewer score 85% (normalized by Neofiliac)Sennheiser Momentum True Wireless 2s are more comfortable than their predecessors. Battery life is better than the Sony WF-1000XM3 and Apple AirPods Pros. Noise-cancelling is now included as part of the package, which is a good addition. Soundstage is refined and mature with plenty of space in the soundstage.
Pros
- Comfortable fit
- Excellent noise-cancelling
- Good battery life
Cons
- Touch controls could be better
