Product Overview

Razer DeathAdder has been a favorite among gamers. Since its initial launch, over 30 variations have been produced, and more than 10 million units sold. For DeathAdder V2, Razer has added its new Focus+ Optical Sensor, Optical Mouse Switches, and Razer Speedflex Cable, thoroughly upping the game.
The Razer Focus+ Optical Sensor boasts the highest specifications on the market with new intelligent functions. DeathAdder V2 also features Razer's Optical Mouse Switches that use infrared light beams to track clicks, completely eliminating any unintended double-clicks; it is also ultra-fast and extremely durable. Last but not least, the DeathAdder V2 now sports Razer's higly flexible Speedflex Cable, making movements with the mouse a joy.
Razer DeathAdder V2 also improves upon its predecessor with a tweaked shape and new sweat-resistant coating.

The signature DeathAdder shape returns, with large click panels that flare off to either side. The V2 features Razer's Focus+ sensor, which tracks at up to 20,000dpi and as fast as 650 inches per second. Arguably the biggest improvement to the deathAdder V2 is its onboard memory.
Pros
  • Sleek, comfortable design
  • New onboard memory
Cons
  • Slightly smaller than its predecessor

The Razer Deathadder V2 has two different lighting zones: the scroll wheel and Razer logo. You can choose from a staggering 16.8 million colors and customize lighting themes in Razer's Synapse 3 desktop app. The mouse is pretty lightweight as well, making it possible to reduce hand and wrist fatigue if you're working long hours.
Pros

  • Lots of customization options
Cons
  • Limited button layout
  • Limited customization options

  • Software is a little confusing

tomshardware[4]

Reviewer score 87% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from tomshardware have found:
The Razer DeathAdder V2 is not for people who demand a lot of customizable hardware. Most of its buttons (with the notable exception of the left mouse button) can be assigned practically any function. The prompt to install a bunch of Razer software upon plugging in the mouse was off-putting, as was the subtle push to create a Razer ID.
Pros
  • Razer Focus+ optical sensor
  • Easy to use
  • Comfortable design
Cons
  • Lackluster side buttons
