autocar[1]
Reviewer score 74% (normalized by Neofiliac)The RS6 is a car that impresses you rather than excites you. Its key calling card is its sheer breadth of abilities, not just performance ones. Its direct rivals – the likes of the BMW M5, Mercedes-AMG E63 Estate and Porsche Panamera Turbo Sport Turismo – all feel more engaging and have greater driver appeal.
Pros
- Impressive straight-line and point-to-point pace
- Powerful engine
Cons
- Not the most fun to drive
autoexpress[2]
Reviewer score 83% (normalized by Neofiliac)The Audi RS6 Avant was one of the most expensive estate cars you could buy. With a price tag in excess of £80,000, it offers two cars for the price of one. There are plenty of optional extras, and you could easily raise the car's price to £100k. But the one extra we would highly recommend is the Performance upgrade. Not only does it add more power, it also brings some added aural excitement.
Pros
- Brilliant performance
- Punchy interior
- Fun to drive
Cons
- Pricey for an estate car
- Alternatives are more practical
carmagazine[3]
Reviewer score 87% (normalized by Neofiliac)The outgoing RS6 wasn't exactly in the same league as those. Blame suspension too comfortable, steering too light of heft, and a chassis prone to nose-heaviness. That may have been true once but things are changing at Neckarsulm. While it's still a car you drive like a hot hatch – no need for finesse and delicacy here, simply lean hard on the outside tyres.
Pros
- Fantastic performance
- Comfortable to drive
Cons
- A bit stiff in its most dynamic setting
cnet[4]
Reviewer score 88% (normalized by Neofiliac)The RS6 Avant looks killer -- properly aggressive with bulges in all the right places. Inside, four different leather colors are available, with beautiful stitching on the seats. The official MSRP won't be available for a few more months, but Audi tells me it will be priced similarly to the RS7 Sportback.
Pros
- Gorgeous looks
- Excellent infotainment system
- Excellent safety tech
Cons
- Pricey compared to rivals
