Product Overview

Audi A6 C8 (Typ 4K) is an executive sedan in production from 2018. It is available with a range of inline-4 and V6 engines that displaced 2.0 to 3.0 liters.
Like before, the C8 A6 is limited to V6 engine, which requires an additional balance shaft. Still, the diesel variant is reasonably durable.
Audi has made a good effort in aerodynamics, with a decent 0.26 coefficient of drag to show for it.
Drivers who appreciate handling will be pleased to know that the Audi A6 C8 comes with multi-link suspensions at all four corners. This provides the best cornering performance and tunability, at the expense of cost and a little bit of durability.

autocar[1]

Reviewer score 50% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from autocar have found:
The A6 rides beautifully on its air springs, softly bracing the body over peaks, through troughs and resisting well the sort of pitch and roll movements that can easily overwhelm a 1900kg saloon. Less convincing is the £1950 Dynamic all-wheel steering, which undoubtedly gives a very large car surprisingly agility through slower, tighter bends. The larger Audi engine is tremendously well mannered, remaining almost inaudible at a cruise.
Pros
  • Powerful engine
  • Comfortable to drive
  • Decent handling
Cons
  • Not as satisfying a steer as rivals
  • Not as comfortable as rivals

autoexpress[2]

Reviewer score 81% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from autoexpress have found:
The new Audi A6 arrived in 2018 and is currently available in saloon and Avant estate guises. Range is bolstered by a toughened-up Allroad Avant and go-faster S6 and RS6 versions. As usual, the standard A6 comes in Sport, S line, Vorsprung and Black Edition trims. All cars get a 48-volt electrical system that delivers'mild hybrid' tech that allows coasting at speed to help boost fuel economy.
Pros
  • Best-in-class infotainment tech
  • Cheaper than rivals
Cons
  • Slippery ride
  • Lacklustre handling

cnet[3]

Reviewer score 84% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from cnet have found:
The Audi A6 has a cabin technology advantage over the E-Class. There's no MMI controller knob for this generation, replaced by an 8.6-inch secondary haptic-touch screen. Android Auto and Apple CarPlay are standard, but neither technology is compatible with Audi's haptic feedback.
Pros
  • Class-leading infotainment tech
  • Vibrant interior
  • Excellent cabin tech
Cons
  • No standard driver assistance package
