Porsche has introduced a limited 911 Targa 4S Heritage Design Edition to celebrate the long history of the iconic sports car. Only 992 examples will be built, matching the model series code. Select interior elements of the Heritage Design Edition will be available as part of the Heritage Design package for all 911 models.

Porsche Heritage Design

Designed by the Style Porsche design department and executed by Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur, the Heritage Design models emphasize the lifestyle dimension of 911 ownership by reinterpreting iconic 911 models and interiors of the 1950s through 1980s.

The Heritage Design package for the 2019 911 Speedster was an initial preview of this strategy. Porsche is committed to building a total of four limited edition models, and the 911 Targa 4S Heritage Design is the first to have come out of Stuttgart.

911 Targa 4S Heritage Design Edition

The Heritage Design Edition of 911 Targa 4S features a number of exclusive exterior and interior elements. Five exterior colors are available, including the exclusive Cherry Metallic. Combined with gold logos, the colors echo 1950s style.

A further highlight is the Porsche Heritage badge on the luggage compartment grille, reminiscent of the one awarded back in the day when a Porsche 356 reached 100,000 kilometers in mileage. This badge will revisit the rear of all four Porsche Heritage Design models.

All these elements are tied together by the 1963 Porsche Crest found on the bonnet, steering wheel, wheel centers, and vehicle key and embossed on the leather headrest and key pouch.
Inside, the use of corduroy on the seats and door trims pays homage to the Porsche 356, revisiting the style of the 1950s. The classic green-illuminated rev counter and stopwatch deliver the same effect.

A Watch to Match the Car

Along the limited edition 911 Targa 4S, Porsche Design has introduced a watch exclusively for owners of the new car: the 911 Targa 4S Heritage Design Edition Chronograph. This mechanical watch has an elegant and clean design and is, like the car, limited to 992 units.

The watch draws the same inspiration for many of its details, notably the iconic Porsche 356 and the original Targa. For example, the back of the watch features the historic Porsche crest as does the car.
