Product Overview

Audi TT FV (Type 8S) facelift is a subcompact coupe in production from 2018. It is available with several tunes of a turbo inline-4 engine (EA888) that displaced 2.0 liters.
Compared to the pre-facelift, the facelifted FV TT has a more modern, techno-inspired exterior styling. It has few updates otherwise.
Drivers who appreciate handling should keep in mind that the Audi TT FV / 8S uses MacPherson front suspension, which doesn't provide the best cornering performance.

External Reviews

autocar[1]

Reviewer score 70% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from autocar have found:
The 2.0-litre 4-cylinder engine has been replaced by a more powerful 2.8. The entry-grade 40 TFSI gets 192bhp, while the mid-range 45 TTSI sees 242bhp. A more powerful still 302bhp tune is reserved for the TTS. All now come equipped with a petrol particulate filter, while diesel has been exorcised from the range completely. The new seven-speed, dual-clutch S Tronic automatic ’box is faster and lighter than the six-speed set-up found in the old car.
Pros
  • Powerful turbocharged four-cylinder
  • Comfortable to drive
Cons
  • Not as entertaining as rivals
  • Lack of infotainment tech

autoexpress[2]

Reviewer score 69% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from autoexpress have found:
The 2.0-litre turbocharged engine feels like a fuss free powerplant with a strong mid-range. It doesn't feel like one drop of the 242bhp power or 370Nm torque escapes the tarmac. The TT's quattro setup can transfer 100 per cent of the engine's torque to the rear axle. It's a very easy, if somewhat unspectacular coupe to drive fast.
Pros
  • Impressive off-the-line and mid-range power
  • Quattro all-wheel-drive
Cons
  • Lack of standard equipment
