Audi SQ5 II (FY/80A) facelift
Compact CrossoverProduct Gallery
Product Overview
Audi SQ5 II (chassis code FY / Type 80A) facelift is the performance version of the Q5 Mk2 compact crossover in production from 2020. It is available with a turbodiesel V6 engine that displaced 3.0 liters in Europe; outside Europe, a 3.0L bi-turbo V6 petrol is used.
The mild-hybrid drivetrain enables new efficiency features, though the difference is, as the name suggests, mild.
Those who drive offroad, for work or leisure, need to think twice before pulling the trigger: the Audi SQ5 II is hardly the "offroader" that Audi would like you to think.
Drivers who appreciate handling will be pleased to know that the Audi SQ5 II comes with multi-link suspensions at all four corners.

External Reviews
autocar[1]
Reviewer score 63% (normalized by Neofiliac)Forged steel pistons have replaced the outgoing car's aluminium ones. The mild-hybrid system’s electric compressor has also been improved to provide more torque fill while the turbocharger spools up. Overall power is slightly down from the old car's at 336bhp. But the mammoth 516lb ft of torque is now accessible across much more of the rev range - and peak power arrives earlier.
Pros
- Powerful V6 engine
- Comfortable to drive
- Decent infotainment system
Cons
- Noisy exhaust note
cnet[2]
Reviewer score 81% (normalized by Neofiliac)The Q5's interior is a lot like its exterior: Clean and handsome, with little in the way of superfluous flair. Up front, the leather sport seats are super comfy for long drives. The SQ5 offers 25.8 cubic feet of cargo space with its rear seats upright. Audi's MIB 3 multimedia system housed on a 10.1-inch touchscreen atop the dash.
Pros
- Powerful turbo V6
- Excellent fuel economy
- Comfortable ride
Cons
- Awash in black and gray materials
- No hybrid option
