Product Overview

Audi RS Q3 Sportback (Type F3) is the hunchback variant of the RS Q3 subcompact crossover in production from 2019. It is powered by a turbocharged inline-5 engine that displaced 2.5 liters.
Compared to the already nonsensical RS Q3, which suffers from the ills of subcompact crossovers, the Sportback adds increased impracticality.
Owners may find that at speed the vehicle consumes a lot more than the numbers indicate, thanks to a disappointing 0.37 coefficient of drag to show for it. Drivers who appreciate handling should keep in mind that the Audi RS Q3 Sportback uses MacPherson front suspension, which doesn't provide the best cornering performance.

External Reviews

autocar[1]

Reviewer score 65% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from autocar have found:
Power and torque have been boosted to a healthy 395bhp and 354lb ft, or enough to hit 62mph from a standing start in 4.5 seconds. Top speed is restricted to 155mph - though ask nicely and Audi will up that figure to 174mph. Up to 85% of the available torque can be channeled to the rear axle through a seven-speed automatic gearbox and Audi’s Quattro permanent all wheel drive system.
Pros
  • Powerful turbocharged engine
  • Impressive off-the-line acceleration
Cons
  • Ride refinement could be better
  • Lack of infotainment tech

carmagazine[2]

Reviewer score 69% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from carmagazine have found:
The RS Q3 has plenty going for it, specifically that fantastic five-pot motor. But it's expensive even before you've shelled out for the adaptive dampers. The quality and price might scream ‘big car' but the screams of pain from lanky adults forced to endure a long journey in the back don't tally.
Pros
  • Fun to drive
  • Powerful five-cylinder engine
Cons
  • Expensive for a GTI

carwow[3]

Reviewer score 72% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from carwow have found:
The RS Q3 Sportback is a sharp-looking car, especially if you prefer its lower roofline. The big alloy wheels, deep black grille and sporty trim pieces all make it stand out from the rest of the Q3 range. The most interesting and important aspect of the car, though, is the 400hp 2.5-litre five-cylinder petrol engine under the bonnet.
Pros
  • Sleek looks
  • Good infotainment system
Cons
  • Sloping roofline
  • No manual option
