Product Overview

Hyundai Santa Fe Mk4 (chassis code TM) facelift is a mid-size crossover in production from 2020. It is available with a range of inline-4 engines that displaced 1.6 to 2.5 liters.
Compared to the pre-facelift, the facelifted Santa Fe has a more heavily styled exterior and more refined itnerior.
Those who drive offroad, for work or leisure, need to think twice before pulling the trigger: the Hyundai Santa Fe 4 is hardly the "offroader" that Hyundai would like you to think. Utility-minded owners will love the 2042L (72cu-ft) cargo space.
Drivers who appreciate handling should keep in mind that the Hyundai Santa Fe 4 uses MacPherson front suspension, which doesn't provide the best cornering performance.

External Reviews

autocar[1]

Reviewer score 51% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from autocar have found:
The Santa Fe remains among the more versatile large crossovers in terms of seat layout. Up front sits Hyundai’s new Smartstream 1.6-litre T-GDi turbo petrol engine, which is combined with a 58bhp electric motor (90bhp in the case of the PHEV) The Santa Fe is an easy thing to drive; the controls are nicely tuned and there's body control to spare. The dynamic elements of the new Santa Fe aren't quite as convincing.
Pros
  • Comfortable ride
  • Comfortable to drive
  • Decent infotainment system
Cons
  • Lack of sophistication at low revs

The Santa Fe is a seven-seat SUV that weighs the best part of 1.9 tonnes. Prices for the Santa Fe Hybrid range from £40, for four-wheel drive, to £250,815 for the Ultimate. The Santa Fe PHEV costs £45,715 in Premium trim and £47,210 in top spec.
Pros
  • Fantastic infotainment system
  • Good standard equipment
Cons
  • Fiddly to drive
  • No four-wheel drive option

cnet[3]

Reviewer score 82% (normalized by Neofiliac)
Reviewers from cnet have found:
The 2021 Hyundai Santa Fe Hybrid doesn't just look fancy, it feels it, too. The ride quality is superb, with fixed dampers mitigating all but the harshest road surfaces. A 1.6-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine combines with an electric motor to produce a net 226 horsepower.
Pros
  • Elegant styling
  • Excellent fuel economy
  • Excellent infotainment system
Cons
  • Lackluster fuel economy
